I've been here for about 2 years now, and I have no clue who the moderators are here. Not one. In that same time I've been banned from several other boards for speaking my mind. It's kinda my MO...

Just wanted ya'all to stand up and take a bow.

It's not very often that you find a place where free speech is held in such a high regard. Almost makes me wonder sometimes if the Alliance is actually providing a platform for us to speak just so they know what we're thinking and who to watch.

I've been here since 2005 and I don't think that there are any Mods. There is sort of an unwritten rule that everyone remains civil and respects each other despite disagreeing.

That's the beauty of this site. You may get disagreeded with, and passionately disagreeded with, but we sort it out among ourselves.

rules are different for VFF crew members.
it's a 'universal' invariant.

Everything you said is just awesome man. I know I've seen you around before; quite a bit more often when I wasn't spending 98% of my time here in the RWED. Don't know if I've ever had the opening to make your acquaintance.

Name's Jack, nice to meet ya...

We got our own type of folk in there, and even the ones that get personal with each other still usually come back for more..... just a different breed of people in there than the more civil types here who don't drop by there as much. Sure we don't come out here as often either, but I do hope we put on our polite mask and make a general good impression overall. Particularly to the ladyfolk, many of which never cease to amaze and impart their wisdom on the less enchanting of the species round here.

Wonder if the same could be said about Troll Country... Probably, I'm thinking. Honestly I've never been there myself and have no clue what they talk about at all. Or never asked anybody about it or talked to anybody who said they were from there.

Right then... no mods, huh?

None ever? Or they sailed on off, ya think?

A little nook in the crannies of the internet where there is no dominion of a hierarch. I didn't think that such a place could exist.

Maybe it's because I don't visit a ton of blogs other than this one and it might be this way in other places too..... Don't it strike anyone else as funny that this is the only place in your life where there is no rules?

Guess the rules ain't really been tested in here before though, at least since I've been here, as nobody has ever gotten to that point that anything became really crazy.... but there's been plenty said over the years that mostly would have seen a whole lot of people banned in other forums.

I like that it doesn't happen here. It makes the experience more human.

And ya know what....?

At this juncture, I haven't seen any nussiance that hasen't worked itself out over the 2 years I've been here.... All without intervention.

When fine people of all types get together, destiny generally tends to err on the side of good, I think.

The board was set up by Haken going on 6 years ago now, and he's still around on occasion. And I know that Shiny is/was a mod-type person, but haven't seen him in an age or two.

The worst official punishment seems to be having your thread dumped into Troll Country. Unofficially, a few people have been ignored into going away.

I think there are 4 mods. Shiny and 11th Hour are mods, but I don't think the others talk about their status. I won't out them if they prefer to remain unknown. They don't make a big fuss and flaunt their powers. Just every so often another thread is moved to Troll Country or an IP is blocked.

I can confirm that Shiny and 11thhour are mods: I've had short exchanges with them in that capacity (no I wasn't getting in trouble). Don't know about any others.
