*Before heading back to her bunk, Dash browses the Cortex and comes across a bulletin involving the Captain. She runs back to the bridge, pulling him away from the wheel, and brings up the bulletin on the screen in front of him.
Larry: "Dash what are you doing?"
*Dash says nothing until the screen is up, then she points:
Dash: "Trouble."
Larry: Yeah, big trouble, better find the others."

Jay walks up the open cargo ramp in to the cockpit. He is bruised and his clothes are singed.
"You guys haven't seen Lt have you?"

Larry: "Seems the Cap's gone and got himself into trouble."
*He points to the bulletin on the screen, which Jay takes in.
Jay: "An Alliance bounty on him? That must be why he disappeared."
Dash: (To Jay) "You're burnt."
Larry: "I'm guessing you all got yourselves involved in the bar fight they mention."
Jay: "Yeah, but it was fun. Gonna have to find a new mule though, Mobb crashed it, he wasn't quite sober enough for the wheel."
Dash: (To Larry) "Told you.

*Dash and Larry both look at Jay
Jay: "What?"
Larry: "You're first mate and we're without a Captain, that means..."
Jay: "Yeah well, I may not be you're best choice right now, seeing as I've been drinking, fighting, in a mule wreck, and without sleep."
*As morning is breaking, the sun does highlight a few more of Jay's 'souvenirs' from the night of fun. Aside from the low-grade burns on his hands and arms, his right cheek is starting to swell to an unusual size, and there's a split on his right knuckle that could do for some stitches.
Larry: "Geez, if that's you guy's idea of a good time, I'm glad I didn't go along."
*Dash takes Larry's left arm and pulls him.
Dash: "Come."
Jay: "If I'm supposed to be acting Captain, how come you're giving orders?"
*With a look of slight exasperation
Dash: "Don't be such a boob."
*Jay wants to protest, but Dash is already pulling him out of the bridge. Larry, who is equally intrigued, follows. Dash stops outside the infirmary. She hesitates, but after taking a deep breath, enters and sits Jay down on the table. She takes a syringe from one of the drawers and turns to Jay.
Jay: "Hey now, you aren't a doc, I don't want nothing stuck in me."
Dash: "Benzocaine, a numbing agent, helps with the pain."
*Jay eyes her warily. Dash squeezes some of the agent onto his hand. Finding another syringe she applies another liquid to his burns. Before he can ask,
Dash: "Bacitran. To prevent infection."
*While the numbing agent takes affect, Dash delicately applies a tefla pad and then gauze to his burns. She can see the relaxation in Jay's face as the numbing agent has taken affect. Seeing her with a needle, Jay realizes what she intends to do.
Jay: "Oh no!" (He attempts to get off the table.) "No, no, no, this is where I draw the line. Where's that woman from the Book, she's the doc."
Larry (slightly bemused): "Scared of the needle Jay?"
Jay: "Not so much the needle as the one doing the sewing."
*Holding his right hand, with hers Dash looks into his eyes.
Dash: (in a gentle, maternal tone) "Jay, be a big boy and it will all be over quickly. Look at me.. It's nothing to be worked up about, afterwards if you want we can get you a nice ice planet."
*All the while she has been stitching with her left hand. She releases his hand and puts the needle away breaking the mesmerized silence. Jay looks over his hand, it is sewn together he didn't feel a thing. Still, not wanting to give too much, he stiffens.
Jay: "See what I mean, sometimes she just... anyway, thanks."
*He goes off to the dining room, muttering. He finds a bag of frozen peas and hold them to his face before heading to the bridge. Dash just smiles and cleans up the mess. Larry, who has watched all of this unfold, says nothing at first.
Larry: (calling after Jay) "So, do you think we should head to town and find the Captain?"
Jay: "Yeah, if he's got a bounty it won't be easy, Alliance has plenty of money to spend keeping mouths shut. Should find a doctor if we can too..."

"But he may try to contact us. Best we start looking though. Dash, you try the bar, I made a few enemies there from what I can recall. I'll check the outskirts, see if I find any Alliance ships."

*Dash is up on the bridge with Larry. They were getting ready to leave for the bar when they received a wave from the Book. They're on their way to Creed for some parts. She's to wave them as soon as they hear from LT, except they still haven't.
Dash: "The one that took the mule, took a horse."
Larry: "You mean Mobb?"
Dash: "Need to go."
Larry: "Don't have any business on Creed."
Dash: "Osiris."
Larry: "No, you just read the wave, Colt and his crew are on their way to Creed."
Dash: "The mare he took, thought she was a boon, but she isn't. She's wild, can't tame her. Gotta take her back."
Larry: "The Captain?"
*Larry hits the comm connection to the Jay's bunk.
Larry: "Jay, Dash seems to have found the Captain."
Jay: "How, you didn't even leave the ship yet?"
Larry: "Well, she knows, or at least what planet."
Jay: "Set course then."
Larry: "He's on Osiris."
*The sound of feet running to the bridge.
Jay: "No ruttin way, we're not going to the core, especially not the center of it. It's crawling with Alliance."
Larry: "Yeah, but it makes sense, it's an Alliance bounty why wouldn't they take him to the center of the Core?"
Jay: "I don't much care if it makes sense, we risk everything going there, we can get to Persephone, maybe a little closer, but that's as far as I'm willing to go."
*While the two men are 'discussing' the merits of going to Osiris, Dash has changed the flight sequence. After a few more buttons and switches are pushed and flicked, they're airborne, heading away from Greenleaf.
Jay: "Where in the Verse is she taking us?"
Larry: "Dash what are you doing, we need to stay put?"
Dash: "Going to see a man about a horse."

Jay: "How are we going go get anywhere with obvious connection with a prisoner?"
Larry: "We're humped for sure."
Jay: "You seem to have a plan, and an eerie gift for knowing what you shouldn't."
*They both look at Dash*
"Besides horse talk, what's the plan?"
