Now before I start, I would like to state that I can not take the lead on this campaign, for I don't have the time.

I was on the MySpace, and was going to adjust my mood, and I just couldn't find the right word for happy. Then I realized, "Hey! Shiny isn't on here!" My suggestion is to send MySpace admin a battalion's worth of waves campaigning to have shiny added to the list of current moods. This could result in Firefly awareness like the 'Verse has never seen before.

Da xiang boa tza shr duh la du tza!

They do have "giddy" though. That should count for something.

If you click on settings at the bottom of the page is a link for contacting myspace. Click that and on the page it gives choose "other" and then "feature suggestion". Click submit and then type out our Shiny request to have Shiny added to the Shiny mood drop down list.

Thanks for the info Dave. Do you know if these messages to the MySpace accept html? So I think this is going to have to be spread beyond fireflyfans. We need to get this out to all the major Browncoat sites in the 'Verse. Anyone belong to any of these? Also, we need to think of wording and a general template we can all use. I can knock out a rough draft and post it later. Then y'all can give me some feedback. Or if someone else would be wlling to do that...

This might just work.

Jien taduh guay!

It was just a box for typing text into. No idea if the reader on the other end will display html or not. Anyway it's probably best just to use plain text as html just annoys people where it isn't needed.

I'm thinking that a few short lines to the effect of, "please add shiny to your list of moods" in the words of each individual person would be more effective. We certainly don't want to look like we're spamming them. While we do want them to know that actuall people want that feature.

That seems great. So, all that's left is for us to start spreading the news. What are the major Browncoat sites? Also, bullitens and if you belong to a MySpace Browncoat group could work. Another idea to toss around: do we do this on throughout time, or pick one specific day?
