Shit. Really. Gotta think about this. Are they gonna follow up on all the implications I'm seeing?

Gotta admit, I'm really amused by the whole Gaius-is-Jesus thing. Too bad he shaved his beard.

Yea, I thought that was the best part of the show. The rest just seemed like all the characters asking all the questions that the fans have been asking for the last year. I didn't blow my mind like so much BSG of the past, but it was still better than anything else on TV I'm sure.

I also thought that

oh I don't know, I like the shock value....
jumping off the couch (I did too) is always a good.

This episode really started off the final season with a bang, I'm very excited about every single bit of it!

New Firefly fans should check this out: http://www.fireflyfans.net/thread.asp?b=2&t=15816

Glad to see they kept up the momentum from the end of last season.

When Starbuck showed up in the previous episode I knew that Viper looked too good to be true. That thing is immaculate. I still think the whole white light when she "died" has some relation to the Lords of Light from the original series. Every time the final five are depicted I get that same vibe.

The whole sequence when Anders faces off against the raider was so damn cool. I thought he was pulling a Jedi mind trick on it when it broke off pursuit of the other Viper but when they looked at each other the moment became even more surreal.

Baltar as the messiah is an interesting turn to be sure. Initially it appeared as though he would be up to his old tricks; playing on their beliefs to ensure his safety and get a little action on the side. Then he pulls a surprise move by coming back to the boy, begging God to take his life so that the child might live. He isn't scamming anyone at that moment, for the first time that I can remember he behaves in a completely selfless manner. We later find out how committed he is when there is a razor at his throat. Again, he has nothing to gain here but is willing to give up his life. If he really is being painted as Jesus then he will have to give up his life to save others. Which is funny because I always thought it would be a great twist if he ended up being the only human to survive at the conclusion of the series.
