Any decent ideas on stuff we can do to help em out ?
I skimmed off some of the office materials I was planning to send to Ron Paul campaign offices and gifted them to the kids of two local owner-operators as school supplies, and tossed in a nice warm coat that I didn't need any more for the older kid (it's a beat up M65 Field Jacket) who was right pleased with it, since it goes well with his current wardrobe I could only best describe as northern grunge, heh.
Also gonna see if I can panhandle some Bio-D off local farmer friends.
As they're tellin me, some of these guys are so close to the raggedy edge they're about to fall off, so any little bit might help.

People have no idea how much this can hurt us, economically.
Normally I hate the thought of Gov intervention, it's like asking that crazy relative who breaks everything they touch to fix your TV, I know...
But damn, for all the money and taxes we pay into it, oughta get SOMETHING out of it!
That bein said, we really do need to back these guys up NOW - it's a small price to pay now, or we'll be payin it double and more, in spades, at the checkout line, when the transport industry tanks on us.

It cannot be said enough, those who do not learn from history, are doomed to endlessly repeat it
