Sorry, this is from memory:
Our spaceship, Sereni-Tree, has returned to Zanzibar, the magical medieval world of fantasy role players. Early in this thread are summaries of our previous adventures among the Zanzibarbarians. These adventures occurred on the other side of the planet from where we are now.
Down on the surface, Mai, Bluefishie, Browncoat07, the little purple squid-thing, Seryn (?) ScorpionRegent (?) and perhaps others have landed with a bunch of Harry Potter clones. They are near Puffenstuff’s School of Sorcery, and have been spotted by some mysterious someone in a watchtower. Also, Bride5 and her new gigantic friend have created Zanzibar’s first golf course. Jadehand has landed in his customized shuttle Ocean Cloud to take in the scenery.
What else? Many folks, including Jake7, are relaxing in hammock drinking mai-tais provided by the robot Sparky. Monkeytail, the last cabana boy, has returned, as has Citizen, Aprilise, and the dimension-hopping PsychicRiver. PR has finally apologized for “borrowing” the TARDIS of his father, Doctor SimonWho for several threads way back when.
What else? Oh, some of us went to Dragon*Con during this thread! My, this is old for a ‘Tree thread.
So, some of us are on the surface of the planet. The rest in orbit must decide about our holiday Christmas Tree! Shall we pull out that exquisite tree-sculpture once fashioned by Jazaf using his metal-shaping powers, or shall we wrap PsychicRiver with tinsel and lights and prop him up in a corner like old times? This is, I think, our fourth Christmas in these threads.
Oh, there is also some robo-monkey decorating the ship, and there has been a call for a good cook. Sadly, our previous cook, KellyOfLuthien, has been missing a while, and the cook before her, Bride7, is probably a homicidal killer who would poison us all! Luckily for us, Bride7 is too lazy to do any real work.
