Yay for the Tueller drill.. IF true.

Were it any other police force, might believe em outright, but the BCPD is fully capable of one cop accidently spraying the other, blowing the guy away and slapping the machete in his hand after the fact.

They have a history of that sort of thing, you know....

IF true, good job then, in a CQB at that range against a guy with capsicum spray and a machete acting from a prepared ambush, just getting out of it without some nasty slashes is an A+ performance.

FYI, A machete is actually less lethal than a screwdriver if wielded by an amateur, and why ?

Because it's not cuts and blood loss that kill, it's vital organ penetration - and an amateur with a machete will hack and slash, but with a screwdriver will stab.

Just so you know.

A machete could easily cut any number of arteries, following which you will bleed to death long before you will die of a puncture wound to most organs.

There does seem to be a fair chance of avoiding being tased that way.

Indeed, sure you'll probably get shot, but at least you weren't tased!

If I come at you with a machete you better shoot me fast. Although they come in all shapes and sizes the one I use regularly can easily cut through a 2-3" sapling in one stroke. I would think it could easily lop off an arm or split a skull to the teeth.

How to not get tased? My guess would be to not fuck with trigger-happy cops.
