I learned of meerkats for the first time reading an Andre Norton story, The Beast Master. No it has nothing to do with the HORRIBLE movie. Or TV series. I read it as meekrats though. Then I actually saw some in a documentary, and they became one of my all time favorite animals. I want a meerkat! Or 30-40 to have my own little colony.

Meerkat Manor is my nephew Wyatt's favorite tv show. He's 2 and will sit and watch the meerkats the entire time. it's the only sitting he does all day...
