I got the same Email from 'Versal the other day.
got too impatient tuesday morning @ work(Retail)
Checked the new release section, ( if the STUDIO is back ordered, then of course we won;t have any...)
we had several, for $18.99, so i bought one. dunno whether or not to cancel the one from 'Versal.
thinking of donating it to the local library or some such...

This really is very annoying, I preordered mine months ago, so there is no excuse for their not making enough to fill the preorders...
but I didn't even get an email

Yeah it is very annoying. You would think you would keep enough of them in house to fulfill the preorders first. That's how I would run my business anyway.
And why doesn't NBCUniversal ship out the CE to us for Universal pictures. They have some in stock still. I'd cancel my order and go to Best Buy instead if I knew how to do that or if I could.

I think most, if not all, of the special features on this edition are on my Australian copy. But I'll probably buy one for my roommate because she won't have my copy when I move.

Sorry,Can't help on the Universal orders front,but Mine arrived here in the UK from Amazon.com in about a (working) week..

I gave up and sent them an email to cancel my orders (no response to that email), and then bought the CE at Best Buy.
I love the CE, but Universal completely mismanaged the logistics of their distribution program.
