I switched glasses when your back was turned! Ha ha! You fool! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The most famous is never get involved in a land war in Asia, but only slightly less well-known is this: never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!

wow, sorry for disappearing last night, but those 2 drinks you mixed me knocked me out!
ugh work is frustrating at the moment. Our project ends at the end of the year, and all the manouvering for new jobs has started. It sucks - I just want to get on with things.
I need a pretty cocktail to cheer me up

Morning all,
a bit weirded out this morning as up in Liverpool an 11 year old kid shot and killed in a park on the way home from a kick about. They reckon the shooter is some kid roughly the same age. Just in a very weird what is wrong with people type place.

mornin' drinkers.
Wasn't that the point of those drinks, Suz?
*looks at his hand, realizing that he still has a full glass of Fettercain in it, and quickly downs it*
*puts on a pot of The Good Stuff*
Huh. I would understand something like that happening over here, Gee, but with the strict restrictions y'all have on guns, an 11 year old doing something like that is even more shocking. Not that much shocks me any more, but you know what I mean.
*grabs a bottle of Jameson and lights a Djarum Black as he joins Gee in the beer garden for some life pondering*

It's all effed up, gun control is not always the answer, Canada has a ton more guns than we do and less gun crime but then again they have bears. It's taking the whole guns don't kill people, people do idea, throw in the idea that these weapons used are all illegal, I'm a great big pacifist so don't always 'get' the idea but have no problem with people wanting to shoot at clubs, even assault weapons cause I get that people might want to have a go. It's more to do with just how people can just casually toss away other's lives like it means nothing. It's like the stories of friendly fire incidents caused by a soldiers who haven't cleared their guns properly before attempting to clear them, comes down to respect, for the people round you but everyone is so busy wandering round in their own heads chasing their own desires at the cost of all others that it effs up their perspective and societies. Hmmh, think I need another drink.

*gets Gee another bottle of Fettercain, and replenishes his Jameson*
I get what you are saying. Taking someone or something else's life is the most selfish thing you can do. Period. (a line from The Shield, I think, but it is still relevant). Here's my outlook on life, and it goes for all sorts of activities, whether certain governments proclaim them to be legal or not: Do No Harm. I don't mean it in the medical sense, as in the Hippocratic Oath, but in general. Everyone should have the freedom to do what they want, provided that those wants don't impede on another person's freedom to do the same. Stealing isn't right, because it infringes on another person's right to their own things. Speeding on the highway is ok, but driving recklessly and endangering others' lives is crossing the line. That sort of thing. I'm rambling, so another movie quotation and I will end it:
Murphy: Do not kill, do not rape, do not steal, these are principles that every man of every faith can embrace.
Connor: These are not polite suggestions, these are codes of behavior and those of you that ignore them will pay the dearest cost.
Murphy: There are varying degrees of evil, we urge you lesser forms of filth not to push the bounds and cross over, into true corruption, into our domain.
Connor: For if you do, one day you will look behind you and you will see we three. And on that day, you will reap it.
Murphy: And we will send you to whatever god you wish.
*lights a couple of cigars and passes one to Gee*
