Digg is a "social site" basically you create an acct, it has huge databases of articles, videos, and such and you find ones you think are exceptionally good, or worth reading etc.
when you do find that you "digg" it and it adds a number to a "digg count" the bigger the count the more popular it will end up.
if you have any experience with www.trig.com it's very similar to trigging something. minus the personal networking aspect
