Well, we're down to the wire. Tuesday is the release date for the Serenity Collector's Edition, and things are looking good. The CE is hanging tough, in the top 20 at Amazon.com. Universal has started running a few online Ads, as well as a few in comic books.

So it's time for the final push. We need to keep reminding folks about the CE, and get out there and order it ourselves. On the 21st, it would be nice if we sent Universal some Thank Yous http://www.universalstudios.com/homepage/html/contact_us/contact_form.
cgi?email_id=9 , and I'd like to send out some personal Thank Yous Now...

Huge thank yous to each and every person that has helped to spread the word about this project; About the BDCE and Firefly showings this Summer, as well as the CSTS screenings. All have been unqualified successes, and you are the unsung Heroes of the Summer.

Most Impoertantly, I'd like to thank Joss Whedon, Tim Minear, and the Cast and Crew of Serenity. You gave us something that we Love, and we're delighted to give our devotion and support to this wonderful 'verse that you all brought to life.

Tell everyone you know, blog about it, send emails, point folks to the excellent reviews the CE is getting, share and share some more.

Use banners on sites to promote ( 11th Hour just posted some shiny ones ). If you can... buy more than one copy of the CE. Birthdays and other gift occasions will be taken care of already.

Come on BC's. Let's do with the CE what we did with the TV Vote... let's be #1!!

Is someone by chance collecting the great reviews together? It would be good to gather them and maybe put together a banner/flyer/whatever that showcases Serenity's praises... the way movie ads do.

New people can be encouraged to get the CE DVD if they see several good reviews. Also, let's keep an eye on the Amazon sales ranking... if it climbs really high we can quote that too.

A pamphlet handed out at cons would be a good way to get other SciFi fans to give our movie a go.
With good reviews, great looking graphics ( you sure you wouldn't want to take a stab at this 11th? After all....( the rest goes without saying...)

Also the pdf of it could be used to post at other boards where discussions of good movies were going on. That wouldn't seem too pushy and it could be fit into the conversation.

I have mine on order and didn't get a chance to stop by Best Buy on the way home from the airport...had to come home and let the a/c repairmen in to repair our a/c.

I can wait... I won't die. Well, I don't think I will.

Sounds good. We may not have a multi-million dollar advertising budget, we can still keep putting the word out there in our own ways.

I always remember that every new fan is important... we have a new member for our ranks (who is always thrilled to have found the 'Verse), plus that person wants to spread the word to others. So every new fan means many other new fans too!
