Ok, worse even yet. My daughters have developed a fondness for Holly Dolly the singing donkey.

Let me tell you, I am one step away from getting my power drill to get the song out of my head. My wife may beat me to it though...

is the link if you are brave enough. Don't say I didn't warn you...

And I know that I said
I'd never do it again
Oh and I love you sweet baby but I always take the long way home."

The Firefly theme song. Sonny Rhodes is driving me batty.

Take my brain in your hand
Toss it in a frying pan.
I won't care cuz I'll be free
If you can take this tune from me!

So, do I get the job as lyricist for the band?

***
(The truth is I actually like the Firefly tune and many Sonny Rhodes songs. And our birthday falls on the same day, go figure).

ooc - My mum was dancing on a table with her best friend to that song at a dance, and my dad was the one who came over to tell her to get down.
No I don't know why they decided to marry each other either, but don't knock that song - its the reason i'm alive!
That and my niece has just learned little Rabbit Frou Frou, but every time I hear I start singing 'Little Rabbit Frou Frou riding through the glen, Little Rabbit Frou Frou, with his band of men. Feared by the Bad! Loved by the good....
Yeah, for some reason.

"Wild Thang... *d dum dum, dum dum dum DUM!*"

Humms the song while several of the Potters fill in on air guitar.

Isn't sanity really a one trick pony, anyway? I mean all you get is one trick, rational thinking! But when you're good and crazy...ooh hoo hoo hoo... the skys the limit!

OOC for every thing there is a purpose. I never said it was bad per se, just something you don't want stuck in your head. Spears are a lot like that too.

Deep in the bowels of Sereni-Tree’s main engineering, Jet leads TheRealMe to a certain wall. “Here’s the problem. Behind here.”

He scratches his head. “The reason that we haven’t translated back to normal space?”

She nods. “Yes.” Jet reaches up and pulls on a lever. It doesn’t budge. The small woman exerts more effort and lifts her body into the air. She starts muttering curses.

“Bride4, allow me to help,” TheRealMe says. He tugs down on the lever and brings both it and Jet down to the deck.

The wall before the pair unfolds in an impressive display of techno-magic. In the space beyond is a huge device whose turns and curves do not seem to quite obey Euclidian geometry. It appears to be some odd sculpture existing simultaneously in eleven dimensions. All about it crackles visible blue energy, like it was covered with a coating of living lightning.

“That’s the jump capacitor,” Jet explains. .

“It doesn’t seem to be discharging,” TheRealMe observes. “Why not? Is this more tampering by the FemaleReaver?”

“Not sure. But until we get that charge off of it, we’ll be stuck in hyperspace.”

“This is keeping us from Zanzibar? This thing?” As TheRealMe gestures toward the jump capacitor, a bolt of lightening arcs from it across space to his hand, causing a blast that knocks both he and Jet against the far bulkheads.

The Sereni-Tree shudders as it drops out of hyperspace over Zanzibar.

TheRealMe, Captain of the Sereni-Tree
Jet/Bride4, Engineer of the Sereni-Tree
