One morning I had to go into work for a network cut over. I was on a conference call with people from General Motors, Electronic Data Systems, Affiliated Computer Services, and OAO Technology Solutions. One of them told me that everything was looking good and we were almost done, and I said "shiny" One of the people on the call said "Did you just say shiny?"

When I left my last job, I had three other guys saying 'shiny' when something was going well. At my new job, I have one guy saying 'gorrammit' when something ain't.

I actually thought this thread was one of them “ fill in the blank” threads, so I will.
“You know you’ve watched too much Firefly when…..?” You can answer every question or respond to any statement with an utterment (is that a word?) from the BDM or BDS. I can do this and I’m sure that most of the browncoats here can also.

I work at a bank so "cashy money" was one of the first expressions I used. No one even noticed it when it slipped out.
