The other day, a friend of mine was telling me that Costco had added an item to their inventory. It was a package of 40 beef tamales. "Mmmmm," I thought, "yummy! Costco is usually pretty reasonable!" Then she told me that the price for said package was $90. I didn't stop to think about my response, I swear it to you all; it came right off the top of my head: "Are they crazy? What are they, magical, wish-granting tamales?" Five seconds after I said it, I realized I sounded like Jayne. Yes, I have definitely watched Firefly too often!
Burn the land and boil the sea; you can't take the sky from me

I recognize and understand the individual words, but they make no sense when presented in this order . . .
I just don't understand what you're getting at here.

Last reference ?
Someone took a bought a Lincoln TRUCK (WTF? Seriously!) and then, chopped it and put a ground effects kit and riced it so horribly it took me a minute to even IDENTIFY wtf it WAS!

when.......
you beg your I.T. guy at work to program your computer to start up with the Firefly theme song.
( he did, it's great!)
you cannot function in life without downloading every BDH picture that gets posted somewhere.
you look through your DVD collection searching for something to watch that you haven't see a zillion times, yet you end up selecting Firefly to watch 'cause it's always kinda fresh and always great.
you use Firefly quotes all the time...like shiny, gorram it, and my favorite...that's a long wait for a train don't come.
you see BDH's in other works & it just doesn't look & feel exactly right...like how come they're that way?
you know all the tiny little mistakes in Firefly & Serenity, but you don't care, and really don't even want to discuss them on these boards.
you try to explain the Firelfy "experience" to your "stick up his butt" boss and get questioning looks from him, and you walk away and don't care.
you sometimes get confused or forget what you're looking at, BDM Serenity or the tv episodes.

'Too much Firefly', doesn't that seem kind of a...contradiction?
Well, maybe when you see a sign on your way to work that says 'Deaver Associates' and you freak out....and five miles later you see a sign that says 'Serenity Farm' and the first thing you think is, We're gonna try a barn swallow!....
But I personally don't think 'too much of a good thing' is applicable here.

Bein' in business for my ownself, after talking to customers about the quote I just gave them, I often find my self mutterin' one of Jaynes best lines:
"Ten percent of nuthin' is... nuthin', carry the nuthin'...."
God I just LOVE that line!
and of course, I do the little hand gestures also.

When the ATM just won't cooperate you think "What a piece of gosee!"
After a customer leaves.. You think or mutter under your breath. "What a hundahn!" or "He sure had a stick up his pi gu"
People ask what your license plate means
Some how it got by the DMV.
