"Ripper is in effect! Ripper is the long-discussed story of Giles (Anthony Stewart Head) pre-Buffy. Who knows whether or not this plot will stay the same, but Head is on board as is the BBC, which is planning to film the story as one 90 minute TV movie."

Ripper is going to happen cool. How does this affect Buffy Season 8 and when that ends Season 9 (already being plotted)?

Probably not a lot. Different collaborators working on different projects. I guess Joss may have to do a little bit more work to keep everything running but the man does have stamina.

Good news indeed. Of all the possible spin off mentioned. The Ripper one was the most interesting to me. Very much hoping that the Beeb give him plenty of collaboration and minimal interference.

The project he has going with Drew Goddard sounds good also. Always liked Drew's writing.

Good to have some favourable news.

I'd love to see that short film thing with Summer. Finally! Darn! No details... Is it for TV? Straight to DVD?

I wish I'd get to see Ripper. It would be fun to see Joss doing another one from Buffyverse.

Season 8 is in comics issues 1-5 are out already and issue 6 will be out on the Fifth of September and it will involve Faith The Vampire Slayer.
