Something's up - my weekly average numbers disagree with FlatTop's by about 3-5 votes per show. That's never happened before that I recall. Don't know who's side the problem's on, either, or how to tell...

Error is on my side. I missed the Top40 from July 22, and was using a 2 day average. Turns out the 22nd was a bit above average.
If you would be kind enough to post the Top40 from Wednesday, July 22, 2007, I'll fix my numbers. If not, we should match again tomorrow.

Actually looks like there's error on both sides. My script did indeed grab a set of numbers shortly after noon on the 22nd, but for some reason there wasn't actually an updated set of figures by then. I've never before encountered noon not being a safe download time...
So my script just blindly assumed these figures were good for the 22nd when in fact they were for the 21st.
Your figures are thus probably closer to correct than mine.
If anyone does have correct figures for the 22nd I'd be interested to see them too. In the meantime here's an 8-day set of figures so that at least the math is accurate, even if it's not for the usual time period.

In the words of our good doctor: I'm confused... no wait I think maybe you're confused.
Seven days ago was the 25th... to get a seven day average you just need the figures from the 25th and today.
My script was fine in the first place because the figures from the 25th are present and correct.
To be safe though I put in code in my script that will actually check the dates of the files it's trying to use and abort if it's wrong. That's how I realized that the 22nd wasn't necessary - because running a seven day set of numbers didn't trip the new error handling. Trying to get a set of ten day averages, that would have relied on the figures from the 22nd, failed correctly.

Wasn't that the day the tvvote crew took off? If so there are no numbers for that day.
