Hi All

To keep the dream of more FF, we all do good work buying DVD's, re-buying DVD's, attending charity screenings and praising Universal and SciFi for their support but has there ever been any thought to logging which advertisers air during Firefly showings on Universal and SciFi Channel. From such a list we could mount email campaigns to those advertisers thanking them for their support. It could be a back door to solidifying Universal's support for future material. At the very least the advertisers would realize we're actually noting their product. That's gotta be unusual for them and could at least make them continue advertising in those slots.

Has this been tried or is it just too far fetched?
Anything seems fair in getting more FF.

Yes, it's been mentioned and done before.

Actually this is a brilliant idea and one mentioned in this "guide to save-our-show-campaigns."

-show.html

I think it ought to be done as part of our guerrilla marketing campaigns surrounding the UniHD showings of Firefly and the Skiffy marathon of FF.
We should note who advertises and launch a polite letter writing camapaign to them, telling them we appreciate their support of our show.

No reason not to do it again.

Another opportunity to thank Sigmanunki for his FF search!

I believe Anonymous1 posted a list of Advertisers the last time skiffy had a Marathon. This is a fine idea, as long as we get someone to make note of the Advertisers!

I believe we'd not have a bit of trouble getting Anony to help us.

I'll ask her.

And if she can't I'll be watching like as not.

Thanks, FM. As you already know, I'm gonna be on the road that week, and may have to miss the Marathon

Yup, I knew that. Sorry you're gonna miss the marathon, boss.

We'll hold down the fort (ship?) while you're gone.

Last time, I think(?), I taped as much of the Marathon as possible and then posted up the websites I saw advertised. Not all advertisers. Just the websites. Someone else may have typed up the non-website advertisers.

I thought people could go to websites and that would show something.

I think I stopped after a couple of episodes because I could only get done one episode a night and it just got too far from the airing.

Is the marathon on a Friday?

Don't have Universal or HD anything.

Heard they were going to have live chat during the Firefly episodes...so maybe people could also talk about the HD commercials during the live chat if they are shiny enough.
