Utterly off topic but I just had to comment on this one:
Quote:
9:34 am: Ostroff reveals that last year's Pussycat Dolls winner, Asia, has opted to embark on a solo career, which, as one reporter points out, completely defeats the purpose of the show.
I thought the purpose of that show was to get strippers on national television. At which - judging from the 30 seconds or so that I watched of it - they succeeded at rather well.

Not really off topic. VERONICA was cancelled basically because that show succeeded in that same time slot. I guess it never occured to them to move VERONICA around and try to find a better timeslot for it, like what happened with ANGEL for the last two or three years. Then again, ANGEL's ratings actually improved and it still got cancelled.
