Has anyone else seen the Firefly Meetup site? http://firefly.meetup.com/members/

Apparently, browncoats all over the world organize meetups for the 1st Saturday of every month.

I think it sounds like a lot of fun. I'd love to trade Fireflygasms in person with other browncoats.

sounds interesting, I just signed up in Houston.

ADDENDUM: It looks cool, but I you want to nominate a location for your gathering, you have to pay to join the site; I might be willing to do that, but I would have to know that more people than me will actually show up. Oh, bother.

The next meetup is Saturday April 3 at 2 pm. Let me know if you go and if any others turn up.

The meetup site e-mailed me to say that the event was cancel; they got less than 5 votes for a venue. Counting me, there are only five people registed. Meh, what'cha go'na do.

Same thing happened to me - cancelled because not enough people were registered.

I don't know how to generate more enthusiasm for this, except to keep it on the board so that people will check it out and sign up.

Suggestions anyone?

I signed up today Serena. This is the 1st time I have seen this before.

It states the meeting in my area was cancelled due to not enough people.

"May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one."

Make it part of the Guerilla marketing campaign.

Print sticky (preferably post-it) labels with our fff.net site and to this browncoat site and stick them right on the back of every DVD in your local store.
