The series is divided up into chapters, and that's how the first chapter ends.
The first volume also has the first episode of the second chapter, In which somehow all the characters that died in the first chapter are somehow alive again.
It's one of those things that's like "Oh my god, I can't stop watching!". It actually works really well as a murder/mystery.
It's true not all anime is like this one, but this is one of the better written ones.
I recommend ALL Firefly fans watch Cowboy Bebop.
People who like fantasy would like Fullmetal Alchemist and Tsubasa.

Cowboy Bebop and FullMetal Alchemist are both very good shows, I agree with those.
I need to check out this kiddies murdering people one though .....

While I understand the point you were making, I could write something better than most shows on TV, and I don't consider myself a decent writer in the least. I will check it out when I can, though.
