OK I need an air conditioner or at the very least some cool water...it's now 89 degrees in here with no sign of cooling ( have all vents and air conditioning closed due to asbestos removal and all...icky and hot.

He gets to a phonebooth, calls the cops, then proceeds to rip out his own throat. I'm thinking whatever they injected him with made him do that.

Creepy. *Shudders*

Not all anime is that bad, but there is some that is definitely on the disturbing side of life. For less (somewhat) weirdness, I'd recommend Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Outlaw Star, or Full Metal Alchemist. Those are more mainstream, and the content is a lot less likely to give you the wiggins (well, maybe Full Metal...).
