Agreed.
I see you love the Darko too. And how could I forget The Cube? That might beat out one of my original top 5 if I thought about it enough. Heard from a friend that Pi would be right up my alley too, but I've never seen it yet.
You guys are all giving me great ideas for movies I gotta rent and watch again or for the first time.
LOL at TMNT, Jossisagod. That movie kicked some serious shell. Casey Jones Rules!

Well crap. I've never tried to narrow it down before. I'm gonna have to go away and do some thinking about this. That being said, I also love Equilibrium and Donnie Darko, though I think the director of the later is insane (I had that movie pretty much down untill I listened to his commentary on the SE). Must go think about this now.

Mal: Yeah, well I'm known for that.

I am a huge Darko fan! And you would truly love Pi, check it out when you can.

TMNT:2007 wasn't half bad either, it had Mako from Avatar as Splinter, and Sarah Michelle Gellar as April O'neil.

I missed that one (TMNT 2007)... I haven't seen a movie in the theatre since the last Lord of the Rings, I believe. Finally getting my hands on a 51" TV makes waiting a couple of months to watch a movie over paying high prices and dealing with idiots with cellphones pretty much a no brainer. Did it make it to DVD yet? I know that was on my to do list, but out of sight, out of mind.
EDIT: Yes, I know.... I could just Google it, and I should, but I'm old school personable.

It's such an impossible list for me because I like different movies for different reasons. There's the comedy side, with the High 4 - Caddyshack, Animal House and M.P.& the Holy Grail, Blues Brothers.
Then there's the macho side of me which loves movies like Patton, A Bridge Too Far and The Battle of the Bulge.
And also there are westerns, which included The Outlaw Josey Whales, High Plains Drifter, Tombstone, and to a lesser extent...Silverado.
Classics, like Rear Window, It's a Wonderful Life, and The Man who shot Liberty Valance. ( Jimmy Stewart in all of 'em...huh. )
And of course, SciFi...where to begin ? Alien, Terminator, LTOR: Fellowship of the Ring, The Empire Strikes Back.
And then there are just persoanl favorites, The Usual Suspects, L.A. Confidential, Chariots of Fire , Rocky, Splash, The Godfather, and yes...Jurassic Park.
Sorry, that's the best I can do. Limit to 5 ? Not possible.
People love a happy ending. So every episode, I will explain once again that I don't like people. And then Mal will shoot someone. Someone we like. And their puppy. - Joss

In no particular order:
Apocalypse Now
Deer Hunter
The Boondock Saints
Deliverance
The Godfather
Wow. That actually took some thinking, only given choice was The Boondock Saints..

I haven't made a list of favorites in a hell of a long time. Last time I had a "favorite movie of all time" it was Twin Peaks: Firewalk with Me. Still top five, but I'm not big on the listing thing. 4 other movies I would tell anyone I met to run out and see:
Dirty Pretty Things
Heat
The Hospital
Naked
Damn! 5 is not many at all! So...just off the top of my head:
