God is there anyone here who can mentally joust?

I would, but it'd be like sandblasting a soup cracker.

Can we get back to the subject at hand now ?

'God is there anyone here who can mentally joust?' If you mean endless repetitions of the same crude namecalling - that would be you then.

hey Frem

I have no particular points to add to the topic myself. If there is a specific product, place, job etc I think it'd be a good idea to label the problems and let people make up their own minds. (Though I'm of two minds about jobs. It IS a point that just b/c a facility says you will get silicosis doesn't mean people have a lot of choice in working there.) But when it comes to 'the commons' that kind of approach won't work. If the government says the air is dirty, what's your choice - stop breathing? Or if the ozone disappears, or the climate gets unbearable, the water is all contaminated, or suchlike.

Well, for my part I figure if we start removing those endless layers of protection against people they've screwed, that corps have bought themselves with political money, the problem will self-regulate in short order.

Just a thought.

You do ? I mean, think ? Wow.

Actually Rue, I think the sad part is that he actually waits around for us to respond to him.

I check in once, maybe twice a day; see what's up, post if I'm addressed. The fact that he admits that he actually sits around, endlessly checking to see if we've responded to him, counting the hours as if normal folks have nothing better to do than keep checking on him, actually makes me sad. That shows someone that has no outside life and is dependent on us for human contact (which, I already suspected, but damn, that's proof).

It's actually really pathetic. Kaneman, you win, dude. But take my suggestion - find some friends, get a girl, go to school, move out of the house. If waiting all day on the internet to see if you can get a rise out of Rue and me is your life, then you don't need my insults; you need real, serious help. Good luck with that.

Do you really want Kaneman to go away? Or do you want to keep trading insults with someone who does it because they have no life whatsoever?

I personally think Kaneman gets WAAAAY too much play here.

I'm laughing to myself over the reaction to anyone checking the timestamps of any of my posts... as a cabbie, I run a 24-hour random schedule, and when not sleeping, and often when I am.. i'm 'on-call', so literally any hour at random, and I hit up the net when bored or waitin for a timecall client...

And now, with my new laptop (*wheee*) complete with wireless booster amp courtesy of one of my geeker pals, I can even jump in through unsecured or poorly secured wireless nodes, and there's a lot of em around here, heh heh heh.

I iz in yo node, stealin yo bandwidth! Yarr!
