Really. Hmph.
I am looking into revoking your fangrrrl status.
Roslin started out just fine. Admirable, even. I liked her.
But the last part of season 2 and the entirety of season 3, she has become more and more arrogant, dictatorial, scheming, dishonest, and absolutely believes in her own delusions of gradeur. As if her opinions and beliefs are the only right ones, so Her Will must be done. She's slowly taking away the rights and freedoms of all the people in the fleet because of her own arrogance, suggesting that the people don't know what's best for them. So, take away their freedoms, and have them live safely as slaves rather than die free? Maybe I'm too independent - heh, as my boss told me in my performance review *snikker* - but I just don't like where she's headed.
No matter what you do, nothing will ever revoke my fangrrl status; it's been too well documented for too many years. ^^

Certain people around here might remember how much the Verse' meant to me at one time, and I'd really like to feel that way about it again, but I just can't seem to recapture the emotions that I used to feel. And it's not just the Verse', either. I'm feeling disturbingly numb to... everything. I don't know what's wrong with me, but it's beginning to make me feel really nervous. Like on the verge of crying and not knowing why, but not being able to, like a fg female... n' shit...I've actually tried to force tears in conditions like this before, but it's just not coming.
Just two things to say about that. Crying for "no reason" is how I finally got wise to my on case of depression. I didn't see a shrink (Any shrinks in the audience? Sorry...), I just went to a regular doc and my symptoms were pretty well defined so's I got me my meds. (Many of you will be happy to hear I'm back in therapy now, although your reasons for joy may vary. kiss: and
)Don't force tears. If they're supposed to fall, they will. The real trick is not to hold them back. (Apologies to everyone if this has been gone over before.) When they want to come out don't stop them; among their other uses, they are a stress releaver, and sometimes that's all we need.

This is why I miss you. Nobody turns a phrase like that. Mention I'm glad you're back among us?

That makes me sad to know somehow.

It sounds to me more like hidden agenda propaganda to lull us into the belief that Bush is really doing right by us. Or am I reading a parallel there that doesn't exist...?
Hi Mavs! Second day of hubby work: Good show! I'm betting the mood is still light and airy at the House of Maura!
Uh, MsG? Can we have a word in the hallway please?

You think you can coo at me and everything's hunky-dory? Well missy you got another thing coming.
*turns to herself and says*
No sh*t, absolute power corrupts absolutely. Of course that's where she's headed. How can she not? She's kidnapped, lied, and air-locked half of her detractors.
(Interesting side note, my friends over at serenitymovie.org have just decided I need to write a filthy fanfic starring Laura Roslin and Starbuck's ex husband, Anders. http://www.serenitymovie.org/browncoats/forums/index.php?showtopic=156

You don't like where she's headed? You don't like where she's headed???
*yells this and startles the little old Jewish lady sitting behind me*
You aren't supposed to!!!
If you think I'm schlepping all of those boxes of comics for you, forget it.

Which leads me to believe she will die horribly and leave the military in charge. I've not seen season three but it seems that from the end of two (or 2.5, whatever) the poliltics leaned toward a leader taking away fredoms and a possible leader who would take away life on a whim. I say they shoulda just loaded everyone evenly on the two Battlestars and played a mad game of chicken. The first one to bitch out gets to stay and play tea party with the Cylons. The others get to move on and party like it's 1999.
Or is that too much like the current status the world is in.
Sorry folks. Just frustrated with politics and people who can't get along well enough to just leave each other alone. Is it any wonder there ain't peace in the middle east.
HMMM?

Naw dude. I haven't been watching crap, and I even registered to vote. Just get to hating politicians who aren't out front, won't be out front, and won't send their own families in harms way.
"Don't ask someone to do something unless you are first willing to do it yourself."
Can't remember where I heard it, but ask any NCO (Or at least any good NCO) and they probably won't tell you that. They'll show you that. I don't see the working man making decisions, just people with money and power. Why did I register to vote? Because regardless of how futile I get to thinkin' it is, I still have faith that true democracy will overcome all the bullshit posturing America has endured for so many years.
Just sucks that we are always forced to decide between a shit sandwich and a giant douche.
ADD: Stupid dyslexia. I really hate reading my posts.

Kinda sucks about Prince Harry. Kid really wanted to go. But he might as well wear a bullseye instead of camo. But I get your point. And you're right.

That reminds me, I need to eat some lunch. I hope my options are better at Wendy's.

Too bad for you, 'cause we really enjoy 'em. (At least they make me stop and think sometimes.)
