Hey I offer 5 minutes of pleasure for $50. Sorry I don't take Visa.

The same rain that washed out my barbeque last night washed out the race in Dover, Delaware.

The make up race is running right now.

I was wondering the same thing - and MsG, too. I know she either had the day off or had her first day of summer school...
but that doesn't excuse the blond Paladin...

This is your usual departure time. So if you are going, goodnight Mav! *hug*

Wow, ya'll really kick it into gear on weekdays.

RIVERISMYGODDESS - I know what this is all stemming from, it's just awkward dealing with it because I've never had this type of reaction to it before. There's supposed to be a line that you cross, and once you go there you find out if you can handle it or not. I can't comprehend adapting to it so easily before, and now suddenly... nuthin. So, allow to rephrase, I think I know what this is all stemming from, but I'm not sure because I've never had this reaction to it before.

James - Eh, still sounds gawthy to me, but I better understand your point now.

HK - Looks like I'll have to spend the next many hours in silent meditation to come up with something to offend you. It's like my life has meaning again. Bitch.

FMF - Interacting with people like you on a social level is my idea of a nightmare... hmm, that came out much more bluntly than I meant it to. I should try harder to emphethize...

The last time I can remember that I cried was right after Basic. You all didn't know me back then, but I wasn't always the massive wad of testosterone that I am now. I was very big on not fighting unless it was very neccisary, which made me a HUGE target for the alpha-males I went through Infantry school with. So to cut out a lot of detail, I ended up having to thrash this one asshole, and I actually broke down afterwards because of how far him and everyone else had pushed me. I busted my head open on my locker, and there I was, shirtless, bleeding and crying, with my battlebuddy standing over me cleaning up the wound telling everyone else to fuck off that came to talk to me. They stopped messing with me after that, not because I kicked the one guys ass, but because they saw how much it legitimately upset me.

Since then it's just been a matter of developing thicker and thicker skin. A lot of people want to believe that society and the military are "maturing" and moving away from ideals of stoic manliness, but that's a long time in coming.

Ride down from Asgard to the battlefield,
Bringer of the valiant dead who died but never yielded,
Carry we who die in battle over land and sea,
Across the rainbow bridge to Valhalla,
Odin's waiting for me.
