Eh... another spinoff could lead to the kind of doldrums that Star Trek is stuck in, with no original ideas, no interesting characters, etc etc.

Sorry, but a Faith series just sounds bad. Especially with the phoned-in performance Eliza Dushku gave in Buffy season 7, I'd rather not see a series based around her.

Given what Joss has proven himself capable of outside the Buffyverse with Firefly, I'd like to see him do something else, at least for a few years. Give vampires and monsters a break for a while and let it become fresh and intersting again.

I didn't think Buffy's final season was so bad, and it was an improvement over the previous season for sure.

The strength of doing season-long arcs is that you don't have to really come up with a lot of ideas. Five ideas equals five seasons.

There were seven years of Buffy and there have been five for Angel. Does Joss have more than twelve ideas for Slayer-related stories? I would hope so.

I'd be really happy to see another series in this franchise, preferably either after Angel enjoys a couple more seasons or even while Angel enjoys a couple more seasons.

Faith? Sure, Eliza Dushku is awesome (totally hot), and while I wasn't really fond of what little they did with Faith in Buffy's final days, I absolutely loved the last episode she did for Angel. I could like a Faith series, but Faith's path was to go from the edge over the edge and redeem herself.

Spike? Spike is so great, especially now that he is horrendously smartass. A show would have to be pretty bad for me not to want to sit down and watch this guy work. Spike's best is stil before him.

Faith and Spike? I don't know. I want to see them both, but together could get weird. They don't exactly complement, both being the rebellious loner type. Plus there would be the inevitable romance, just like the writers put Cordelia and Angel together.

Dawn? No. Not to be dismissive, but I just don't want to really think about plus and minus for it.

A new slayer-centered show? Iyari Limon comes to mind, reprising Kennedy (again, totally hot), but I doubt Alyson Hannigan would do it, unless to cameo for the break up at the beginning. Just some other slayer? Sure, but there would definitely have to be a twist.

A completely different show in the Buffyverse? Something like Ripper could be interesting. We could have a show that involves some member of the Watcher's Council in his attempts to revive that body and (hopefully with the occasional guest Anthony Stewart Head) make it a more ethical guiding force in the advent of all of these new slayers. Maybe it could even deal with how the sudden deluge of slayers effects things.

More shows = good thing.

I hope you like Guinness, sir. I find it a refreshing substitute for . . . food.

I was reading somewhere where someone mentioned an idea I hadn't thought of:

By day she's Winifred Burkle: mild mannered hottie physicist, but by night she assumes her true form of Illyria: Rogue Demon Hunter.

Actually, someone mentioned the Illyria idea, but I did the rest.

Joss Whedon could totally go crazy playing the super hero angle. Fred could even always where the glasses in a nod to Superman/Clark Kent, which is fine because Amy Acker is especially cute with the glasses.

I hope you like Guinness, sir. I find it a refreshing substitute for . . . food.

Come to think of it,wasn't Ripper supposed to get a show, though? What's up with that?

Ripper is a great idea for a spin off. They haven't really dealt with Giles' past much on Buffy. It would be great to see a different side to the watcher.

I read somewhere that Joss Whedon and the BBC are still willing to make it, but Joss is tied up with Firefly??

Does anyone have an update on it?
