Especially seeing as how I'm not up at that time of 'day' anymore. *sigh* Oh well. Good morning lovely Aussies! (And lovely Norwegian) (And Causal
) (And Khyron; don't know where you're from) I need a shower before I can take any new pics that could be considered decent (in any respect) so y'all have to wait a bit for anything new. Congratulations, mei mei! That's wonderful! I didn't know you were a grad student. What are (were?) you studying? And you must tell me this: how'd it feel to hand the thing in?
I'm not a grad student Causal, only undergrad. If I were doing a postgrad degree it would be called a thesis. I am (for the next two weeks anyway) studying history.
Huh. That's not how it works for us. (I even looked in up in the dictionary, just to make sure I wasn't going crazy!) You a Brit, by chance?
Yes I am a brit.

Hey Hobbleit!! (That's the way it works here too by the way - what period of history are you studying - it's a passion of mine... history!!)
At the minute it's the Russian Revolution and Mining in East Durham in the C20th for my dissertation.

Tee hee - Magda, sooner or later you won't even have to type anything - you can make an entire post with texty pictures!
*huggles PR again* Sorry to hear of your working woes. May you soon be back in the air.
All manner o' shiny got snapshotted at the Shindig yesterday. New pics should be along soon!

That explains it! For us (at my university anyone) a undergrad paper is just called an essay--or at most, a term paper. For us, "dissertation" means that huge 90-page thing that doctoral candidates have to write.

Hate to break the string of Aussies (if that's what I'm doing). I also hate to expose my ignorance...but what is a "git"? I've heard the word, but no one's ever explained it to me.
Git = Paul Hogan!!!
Nah - that's not fair!! A git is a 'wanker' or a 'wally' or a 'twat' a 'prat' or a 'generally-not-terribly-well-respected-on-account-of-their-general-demeanor-type-of-person'...
Clear as mud?

I know I've done this type of pic before, but the berries are just amazing right now! Many Kaylee moments are being had today.

I tried with the amazing raspberries, too, but they're too small to show up well in pictures; it just looked like my hand in front of my face most of the time.![]()

This definitely smacks of another strawberry-eating contest at Dragon Con.
