I was a Buffy buff before I found Firefly. It was watching Joss talk about Nathan in the Buffy dvd interviews that led me to Firefly. He said something about Nathan was available at the time and he needed to find someone for Caleb's part. I was hooked and was delighted to meet him as The Captain.

I saw him first on OLTL years ago, then found tht he was in that 2 Guys and a Girl sitcom (which I didn't watch) and wondered only slightly if "Joey Buchanan" could be funny. I was a fan of BUFFY since the first ep., and ANGEL, too, and when I found out about who would be the lead in Joss's new show, I found myself wondering how in the world I could take "Joey" seriously as the lead in a sci-fi western...let alone how in the world could Joss make me like a sci-fi western, which I was never much of a fan of either.
Boy, was I in for a shock!
