My mom turned me on to it, and I'm almost done with the second book. Already I'm trying to scrounge up the money for more books. It's my new crack addiction, especially since there's no Joss stuff to watch. Eventually I'll get around to watching the show.

Anyone else a fan? Or maybe have some thoughts on the story?

Watch the TV show. Never read the book. A very rare thing for me to say! Think I will read them having seen the show.

I watch them on Sky 1 so the last episode aired here was "What About Bob".

I like it :) It's no Buffy or Angel, but it's quirky and fun and just different enough to be interesting. Plus I think the lead actor is cute.

TV show not to bad. Grows on ya, kinda of modern day Kolshak. Some wizards have wands some have hockey sticks. There is another show The Unit which isn't to bad even has a troll in it.

I love the show (been an RHW fan since DS9). I may decide to track down the books. Not too eager, though, since Book-Bob is apparently not as dry and sarcastic as TV-Bob (I prefer dry British humour to slapstick silliness).

Book Bob has an obsession with getting out of his skull so he can leer at women or be put in some girls underwear drawer. Also reads romances since Harry won't let him do the former!

I think the books are great, been reading them since they came out. There's a tshirt available thru his website that I've always thought was a hoot. Making Jim Butcher famous one bookseller at a time. I was a bookseller for 12 years.

Yes the show is different, but I really enjoy it. Looking forward to next season, especially to see what Murph and Harry do!

I loved the show, and got turned on to the books, and I read them all. I hope people will write to the Sci-Fi Channel so we will get more shows. First show I have been excited about for a long time. Thought Paul and Terrence were great together, and everyone else was great too. Hope for more.

LOVE all the books. It's amazing. TV show's good too, just think of it as alternate reality Dresden and it works fine:)

Just watched the first episode off this site < http://tv-links.co.uk/show.do/1/925>, and the first thing that grabbed me was the introduction of Bob: Thought he was a butler or a roommate who had some nifty powers... and then Harry says, "Back in your skull, ghost." WHOOSH!

Priceless!

It kinda reminds me of those "alternate universe" stories where Magic works, and is generally accepted by the populace: Robert A. Heinlein's Magic, Inc., Poul Anderson's Operation Chaos, and Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake series.

This is now my second favorite show... after Firefly, of course!

I'm right there with you, MSG. While there are some differences from the books to the TV series, I'm just happy to see something on the tube that has some quality to it. I only hope that SCIFI network gives it another season. Has anyone heard anything about that yet?
