Not really on track with the rest of this thread, as I have only seen Season 1 so far, but...
Am I the only female watcher who could never understand why Rose wouldn't simply jump The Doctor's bones and get to work on restoring the Time Lord race? I sure would.
Of course since Chris Eccleston is no longer The Doctor I probably won't feel that way anymore. That man is scrumptious.

I too an loving this series so far.
I really liked the first episode of this season.
When the Doctor was in the hospital he really looked like he was enjoying playing with the humans, (talking about Ben Franklin and when Martha found his second heart).
Also loved the but when the Doctor told Martha her mate wasn't coming with them coz she'd just slow them down. And it made her cry!! Poor girl but it was very funny.
The Face of Bo's revelation is fairly obvious, unless that's what they want you to think!!!

In DW Confidential, David Tennant said that whilst Bo is right about him not being alone, the Doctor is also right about being the only Time Lord. The Master is from Gallifrey but was kicked out from being a Time Lord for his crimes.
Also the 'keywords' this season are apparently Mr. Saxon. It was used in the first episode.
Apparently, again, the finale features a character called Mr. Saxon (rumoured to be played by John Simm of Life On Mars).
Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Finally found out what is probably old news to everyone else, which is why it's so hard to find Season 2 on DVD region 1. Evidently a ton of them went out with errors on Disk 1 and were recalled. You are watching innocently along with children in the room and then suddenly BAM you're watching a scene from Texas Chainsaw Massacre that was so awful that it got cut from the theatrical release, something about an old man's legs getting cut off. Whew! Evidently only Disk 1 has the problem, and not all of them, but I can see why it was pulled.

In the original series the Doctor was usually played by an older man, but still travelled with a sucession of comely young ladies. So, to actually get romantically involved with one of them would be a bit taboo (especially in 1963). The new version is probably pushing this as far as it can go.
What may not be obvious if you're watching outside the UK on DVD or a specialist cable channel is that Dr Who is mainstream here - brand recognition to rival or possibly exceed Star Wars and original Trek. Heck, it ran for 25+ years, and most of that time there were only 3 TV channels. Its also firmly aimed at a family audience, and goes out at 7pm Saturday (6:35 tonight :-)). If the Doctor actually boffed a Companion then there would probably be questions asked in Parliament.

Hey Grizwald. No you are not alone but I much prefered David Tennant as The Doctor. It's a moot point now though what with Rose being inacsessable and all. And I understand INHs bit of info as well. Family show and all.
And the rest of you are just getting me all worked up. I don't know what you are all talking about as I'm a poor deprived American but I've been going crazy for some expaination since the season two ender.

I didnt think Daleks in Manhattan was any good i prefered the Gridlock episode even though this one had daleks in. I didnt find it too exciting.
