Xander & Buffy was so shocking and nasty. I was really thrown for a loop on that one.
Naked, giant Dawn didn't help either. I gotta say comic books is not my favorite format for entertainment. I was unimpressed by the Serenity comics and so far I'm not very impressed with these Buffy ones either.
It feels like reading the cliff's notes of regular buffy.
Anyway I'll probably read them all just to get a feel for where things were going in the buffyverse. I'm hoping that Adam is Amy's bf and that Glory returns.
Does it seem to anyone else that Buffy is the key to something important? They are really really trying to protect her. Maybe if she dies all the slayers become unchosen?

No, I think this is just a matter of her being the most competent slayer by far, and as a result... super-necessary in the making-other-slayers-competent process. Plus, everyone loves Buffy.
Any way you slice it, her (3rd) death sucks.

They still have Giles. He seems much more important to making quality slayers.
I think there must be more to it than this. They have fake slayers running around to throw people off and they say they'd never let her sleep unprotected. They never used to care about Buffy's safety like this. Something must be up.
