Thank you so much for sending that e-mail, Diane. I agree; we need to bug them about showing a Marathon in May, and Definitely try for one in July, to support the Big Damn Special Edition

Hey I'm new to the fireflyfans.net only because I have a confession to make. I just watched the entire Firefly series for the first time. Yes, I know how can this be you are thinking, it defies the laws of the universe. Well, on the flip side I am pretty lucky to just now see and ENJOY it for the first time. I fell in love with it then came the last episode thinking it was going to be a season finally or something and that was it. I said to my self ok there must be a 5th disc that I didnt add to my que on Netflix. Nope. What the hell, what a drop the ball kick in the head type of thinking was this by fox. I am like a addicted to something inivisable that I can't get my fix no more. Is anyone listening is anybody out there this is a travisty. So I sat dumb founded and confused behind my computer looking for the 5th and ever elusive disc that I must have overlooked, because that could be the only logical explanation. Then, there it was, no not the 5th disc but A FREAKING MOVIE CALLED SERENITY!! I was doing a very bad version of the cabbage patch in my dining room. Yes, it is true I am a fan and have never seen the movie. So go ahead poke fun at me I don't care but I still have one up on all you fly heads. I have yet to see the Movie Serenity for the first time. What a lucky bastard i must be or what a retard I must be for posting all this nonsence on a thread that has nothing to do with this. So ill fix that

As for the email.
If there are whores.

Welcome home, Jodust! We're glad you've joined us.
Everything that you've said and described.... well, we've been there and done that.
Being a Browncoat isn't easy. A certain bit of heartache and such to it.

But I hope that this place will prove to be a balm to you... I know it's helped me when I get really frustrated that there is no more. Plus there are shiny things to do to at least say we want more!

Since you've joined us and since you're obviously a Browncoat.. you need your browncoat. Sorry it's only virtual, but it's a sort of symbol of our togetherness and your entry to the ranks.

*hands Jodust a browncoat from the storeroom*

There.. you're set. Someone might see this and greet you in addition to me and also sometimes they give you virtual strawberries.

Make yourself to home.

From here to the eyes and the ears of the 'Verse!

Ok, what do you think of my briefly scribbled argument:
The Plea: I too would like to see another Firefly marathon, but in truth I believe It in your best interests and my own if NBC were to breathe new life into Firefly for any of their stations including Sci-Fi. Perhaps you could ask Universal Studios to advertise their new release of "Serenity" which comes out this July.

The Support: Anyone at all can see that WWE was a silly acquisition for a brief success, but the ratings are slipping and there is no real future in it. Instead of creating new mediocre television series the likes of Tripping the Rift and Andromeda or rehashing old episodes of Beast Master, you could invest in a much more powerful series that will guarantee a religious following at the least. Firefly.

* It has been quite a while since Fox canceled it so their price should have gone down some.
* You can guarantee a following that must be as strong as ECW's
* The opportunities for advertising are plentiful unlike the repetitive "hardcore scene" you are trying to peddle with ECW. You could even attempt to create a "guerrilla advertising" crew from your official site and fan sites. Cheap, easy, and potentially very effective with little to no losses.

There is more, but I'm sure you didn't want to read this far.

Also, I would like to know where to send my resume for an Internship in PR/Marketing. Neither the NBC nor your Sci-Fi site has an address.

I agree with you Gohan32. If there is more please advise, I read that far expecting more. If after 5 years and people are still begging in these numbers on fan sites it should be apparent to anybody paying attention. I just dont get it personally maybe we are all out of touch with the real world and just a bunch of independent Brown Coats who well like the show I guess. Maybe we are fighting a battle thats already over. However it is apparent that we dont care and keep pushing forward anyway. Eventually somebody with some disposable cash and a strong arm will knock a few heads around and put some common sence into one of the networks. Until then keep pushing those keys and clicking those mouses.

Hey, I'm back from a loooong hiatus--just sent an Email to feedback@scifi.com, and wanted to send out a special thanks to all you Browncoats, especially TDBrown and FollowMal, who keep the Guerilla Market threads running!

UPDATE:

Sci/Fi has NOT scheduled a FF Marathon for the month of May! However, they still have an open daytime schedule on both the 7th and the 22nd. Let's rally the troops and ask skiffy to insert a Firefly Marathon on one or both of those dates!

feedback@scifi.com

ps: Might throw in a hint that a Marathon coinciding with the release of the Serenity SE would be Shiny!
