Actually, I *really* want to try GIMP, but I don't have an internet connection at home so I can't download it. Which is a pity as it looks great. Geekmafia uses it for his stuff all the time, and his banners are brilliant! His animations are cool too, very smooth.

I know, I know... for an IT Trainer I'm shockingly deprived of techie stuff... I use the stuff at the centre! Not my fault I'm not earning much yet

You could use a flash drive or CD or floppy and download it from elsewhere and then install it when you get home.

Not a suprise about the lack of computerness at home though. One of the guys here (Network Engineer for a HSD company) has a Pentium II 300MHz processor computer at home.
Maybe you should ask Santa for one this year and actually be good?

You know, I tried that once and it didn't work as it said it was missing a file. Must give it another bash sometime. I mustn't have downloaded it properly or something.
Same thing happened when I got a copy with a web desgin magazine - it wouldn't open for me. Grrr!
