YouTube removing FF vids

Not sure if this was posted before or not, but I was just trying to view some of my favorite Firefly videos on YouTube (Who the Hell is Jonny, Firefly Bloopers, and Going to See Serenity), only to be hit with these messages:

"This video has been removed due to terms of use violation."
"This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Twentieth Century Fox."

It's sad that we won't be able to watch some of those excellent fan vids anymore.

Enjoy the ones that still work while you can...

Oh no! I was wondering why my favs list was getting so sparse. It's kinda large so I wasn't sure which ones were missing, but those couple were part of it. That's just terrible! I really hope they don't start taking down mine. Might have to start throwing down!

Well, correct me if I'm wrong, because I don't know much about this stuff... but doesn't that fact this site posts screenshots violate copyright laws? Or the screenshot in your signature? How is that much different than the vids on YouTube?

I can understand them going after people who cause them to lose money, but I never understood going after those who are just trying to keep interest going in Firefly. *shrug*

Still, I ain't quite surprised, to be frank.
Just Fox tightening the noose 'round us Browncoats a lil' bit more- eventualy, they may even start to lay into the fansites.

Or...

My vid doesn't have enough views to pay any attention to.

Or...

They are only deleting the vids without some sort of disclaimer in the vid itself.

It's free advertising for them, but they insist on enforcing the violation crap because of the warning not to copy or redistribute their shiz in any form. Govt. rears its ugly ass head again...
