I think Mal is the dark existential hero Angel was supposed to be

Joss ripped off so many different sources to create Firefly it would not surprise me that he ripped off himself also.
Besides that have you ever heard of "formula fiction"? If something works, stick with it.

this is ridiculous...of course there are similarities, its the same writer/director; its his style that is similar.

Also im sure you could find similarities between bloody Pop Idol and Firefly if u wanted to.

This is completely pointless and annoying :P
