One by one, seems the folks from Buffy are gettin bit work from Sci Fi.
Anyone know the story here ?
Hope it's better than 'Gryphon'.
People love a happy ending. So every episode, I will explain once again that I don't like people. And then Mal will shoot someone. Someone we like. And their puppy. - Joss

I think that's a mutually shared sincere hope, AURaptor...but the track record for Sci-Fi Channel original projects is kinda miss-and-miss. Maybe the occasional walk
Still...we could be surprised

Nope, know absolutely nothing about it. I'll probably at least give it a try.

JAYNE "Pain is scary..."

Um. Did the commercial say "From the mind of William Shatner"???
Here's a synopsis from the SciFi website:
A veteran firefighter tries to convince a young fireman and a government agent that the blaze they are fighting is really a fire creature spawned by the sun. Nicholas Brendon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Sandrine Holt (24) and Robert Beltran (Star Trek: Voyager) star.
Tonight's the first I heard of it. I don't have much hope for Sci-Fi's movies anymore. *sigh*

I think I saw Nicholas in 1 other thing since Buffy, but I can't for the live of me remember what it was.
I realize the writing on Joss's shows was great, but how's it that so few of the Scoobies and Angel types are seen anywhere else ?

Nicholas and Charisma Carpenter were in a TV movie last year. I can't remember the name right now, but it was some bit of fluff about a family getting together for their annual games.

Julie Benz and the dude who played Stinky Parker the Poophead was in the best ever Sci-Fi Channel event...TAKEN.
Charisma Carpenter did a movie on Lifetime last year. Emma Caulfield was in one the other night. Missed that one but taped it. They've both done movies for ABC Family. The one with Nick Brendon was Charisma's second ABC Family movie. She had the lead in one a couple of years back. It was his second for the channel too. He had a supporting role in one with Majandra Delfino (ROSWELL series) and Ethan Embry. Michelle Trachtenberg and Sean Maher did a movie together for Lifetime that I kept missing everytime it was on.

He was a character in 'Kitchen Confidential' too, a sitcom that was well acted, well scripted and very funny. It was also one of the few sitcoms that *didn't* slavishly follow a formula that has been seen soooo maaany tiiiimes befoooore.
So it was cancelled. Naturally.
At least 'How I Met Your Mother' with Alyson Hannigan is still going, but I honestly thought 'Kitchen' was better. *sigh*
I know he was supposed to be in a horror movie where he and his Mum were trying to figure out why his sister committed suicide. I saw a trailer online, but I haven't heard anything else since. Was that one released in the US?
Anyway, I hope he'll be back on screen on a regular basis soon. I miss him!
