Imponderable Water Cooler- Pinch Me

My only distain is that much of the medical establishment seems to be about the highest bidder. Drugs before herbs and changes in diet (and in fact rarely taking diet into account) and as many of them as possible. It bothers me. Diet is very closely linked to health, but only people with possible heart disease are told to change theirs at all (despite the fact that sugar makes blood thicker and feeds cancer cells) and it bothers me.
As for being disgusted by the idea of working as a doctor or nurse... I don't wanna wipe anyone's ass but my own, and I think that dealing with sick people all day would wear on me. The D.O. thing sounded better because it focuses on actual health care rather than caring for the sick which I see as very different, and also sounds like it takes more things into account and offers more alternatives. Everyone is different, and finding the right treatment is more important than seeing how many expensive drugs it takes to 'fix' someone (a.k.a. eliminate their symptoms but not the underlying cause; another issue I have with it)
*gets off the soapbox*
This all comes from my own personal experience with doctors, which has been limited to my grandpa dying of cancer they didn't find until he was more than half dead and Ex#3 (formerly ex of doom) being in the hospital for a blood clot and being prescribed rat poison to take care of it, rather than a diet and exercise plan (which should have worked for a man his age). Also the conversations I have overheard/messages I have taken working for an answering service (we have a lot of doctor's offices). I have personally gotten better results with diet (which I need to work on) exercise (which I need to get back to) herbs (which have made me feel worlds better in just a couple weeks) and homeopathics (which lifted me out of depression, allowed me to heal from dental surgery twice as fast as average according to the doctor, as well as taking care of a lot of the pain from said surgery, and have basically improved my life with very little effort on my part except giving up coffee and peppermint. Only have to take the remedies themselves every once in awhile)
Okay, sorry.

Well folks, call me annoyed. I just spent thirty minutes sorting a long and heartfelt post just to have it eaten. EATEN!
All of that aside, how is everyone's morning? Fine I hope. I always seem to come in the middle of interesting conversations so I'll but out for a while.

First of all, I want a clean fight, ladies. No rabbit punches, no clinches, no cheap shots, no hitting below the belt, no thumbs, no biting, scratching or hair-pulling. No foreign objects. When you here the bell, jump on your soapboxes and come out swinging.
"Well, here I am...Does that seem right to you?"

Sorry to hear that, NVG. My soapbox got eaten, too. I hit back and it was still there in the reply field, so I copied it and tried again. I think I tried four times before it worked (and I did have to paste it in at one point) Did you try that? It really sucks if that didn't work...
I've thought I should start composing my responses in Word, just so I never lose 'em

I do that if I know I've got a long one coming up. But sometimes they just grow on their own and I don't think of it and BAM! gone! I feel your pain, NVG. Sometimes I remember the gist, sometimes there's just too many thoughts.

Don't stomp off, NV. Just next time always highlight and copy posts that are more than 3 sentences long. That's saved my oh-so-important ramblngs on a few occasions.
And on the fluid front...I hear from WSSC (Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission, DC's water authority) that my building will have water at around 5 PM. Course, I leave at 4.
Boy, it's utterly bracing to walk to Wendy's in 20 degree weather just to peepee.
I wish I could have "let it mellow" - but...nevermind. I can't be delicate enough. Suffice it to say, I had to have flush access.
*sigh*

Sucks don't it PR. On the sunny side, I've decided upon Sara Jane as the name for the PB gun. A wonderful being that can inflict pain and humiliation upon a fella while lookin' so gorram pretty. Ain't that a fittin' description of HK or what?
Here are pics of an airsoft weapon I'd really like to march with at D*Con.

A G36 with grenade launcher. All metal. Very sexy.

Maybe we should form a hunting party to track the post eating monster and slay it:)
NV- HUGS sweety and that's a lovely gun you have there...good name too:)
PR- yeah I think a DO is loads better. I like the idea of someone who focuses on keeping me healthy and cures me when he can't :)
Hell's Kitten - glad to hear there's not much of a market for breast implants for guinea pigs. After Rugbug's horror story I started to wonder. LOL ( well sort of LOL and sort of eeeeeeeew) Glad to hear you saved a horse. I love horses:) Actually I love all animals which is why MisterG forbids( in a joking way) me to watch nature shows. Because then I see animals and want them as pets ( may I say I still think a wallaby would make a nice pet...or maybe a meerkat...or a penguin...or there was this really cute hedgehog)

We had the plumbing go out here at work...for three days. They thought it would be a week or two...so it wasn't as bad as it could've been. I think the worst part of it all was that I was facilities manager at the time. I scrambled and came up with solutions (had Really nice port-a-pots delivered within 2 hours...got bottled water delivered, got paper plates/cups/plastic spoons, knives and forks. Every need was covered, just not in the fashion the employees were used to), but people were still pissed off.
