Your Flickr page doesn't count? At least as a start? At any rate they do seem to adore you.

A prestigious college doesn't matter so much as the education you recieve from there; and, my bet's on the two choices having roughly the same value in that respect (at least for the first two years of courses). I mean, look at people who went to Ivy League schools - they didn't get there on merit so much as on large stacks of cashy money, and it doesn't seem like that education is doing them any more good than the education my parents had [they're smart, easy-going, open-minded people (the type you can't help but like)]. As someone said in the last thread (unless I'm hallucinating), the educators don't matter as much as the educatee.

Traveler waves back to Yinyang.
Don't laugh to hard. My school was called Acme Institute of Technology. Yes I design rockets and roller skates for Wily Coyote. Like I said in an earlier post, I went to the first school that offered me a draft deferment during the Vietnam War. This school no longer exists. Some sort of transwarp field sucked it into another universe. But I earn a living. If you drive a new Ford Mustang; it has a valve in its engine I worked on. So tighten your seatbelt and keep an eye on the oil gage.

Sweet - you know Wile E. Coyote? Can you give me his address?
Vroom, vroom -

Hello Yinyang:
Just go to your nearest canyon and step off. Wile E. Coyote will be at the bottom. Look for deep crater with pointy ears sticking out. There may be smoke. It depends if rockets were involved.

Will do, Traveler.
It's time for me to head to bed. See you tomorrow, all!

Going waaaaay back to the old thread: Yes, rugbug, the rumur aspect has been verified. And not to get too gross here, but it would be easier for a man to, y'know... Stopping there. Anyway, Catherine the Great did not hump any horses.
And yes, I am a filthy truth-monger
I'm struggling with degree thoughts right now. I can't join in on that discussion without my head exploding. Right now I'm thinking about advertising, but I have also considered business or finance. It's just the slogging through thing that I have to deal with, and I do not deal with that well. English, I adore, but would not major in it. Health care, I do not adore. The thought sickens me. I have enough problems with the profession without trying to do it. (I did think briefly about studying to be a naturopathic doctor, but very few states even allow you to practice as one. Stupid, stupid, stupid...)
Hmmmm, guess my head didn't explode after all...

I must have missed RugBug's post. Just curious why our resident equestrian showed an interest...?

Wow! My second oxymoron alert in less than 24 hours. Wonder if something's going around?

I'm afraid like with so many other things the notion has become tainted by the charlatans, not to mention a general xenophobic elitism, an intellectual pretension that seems to pervade our...oops. Sorry. It's too early to rant.

No, please, go ahead and rant. You're preaching to the choir if it's me, but feel free. After all, it's late in the day for me, and I despise the medical establishment for many and varied reasons. (Odds, if you're reading this, I know you do the nursing thing, but come on, you hate it
)
I'm not going to repeat why she wondered. Go on back to the last thread; her's is the last post.![]()
Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.
