I think the cat-ear hat is a homage to Molly, one of the Runaways (another comic book series Joss will be writing starting in March 2007)

I'm really excited about Buffy's season 8!

did you know Joss is taking over Runaways (which was created by Brian K Vaughan) in March?

And the next short series of Serenity comics will come out in September I understand....
