Tragically, got socks and a tie. Owing to family (not me or Mrs G) illnesses, the pressies got a bit sidelined, but once we're in the clear, I've been promised a nice Hoyt Recurve. And stuff for the Passat. Mine is an evil, throaty, choking* laugh.

*OK it's a Diesel, but it's still a Turbo, and a bit strange. Won't amaze anyone at the traffic-light GP, but shortly afterwards, you just find yourself going enormously fast. Leaf on the Wind stuff...

All I wanted for Christmas was Water's Edge, the Nathan Fillion post-FF drama. Didn't get it.
::pout::
I did get a little Inara-esque tea set and a book on tea ceremonies. And the FF soundrack. And the RPG...
Guess it wasn't all bad. It just lacked the Nathany goodness.

This year Santa (*ahem* I mean, my wife and folks) brought me a Serenity ornament (which I, a 30-year-old man subsequently flew around the house whilst making "swoosh" sound effects), a copy of the Firefly Visual Companion (Vol I) and three patches (Lydono, Blue Sun, and Independent triangle-y thingy).
On a bit of a down note, Santa didn't check my list quite carefully enough, and brought me a book with a similar title to the one I actually asked for (we're in negotiations for a trade).
But on a much brighter note, I got a membership to the local conservation club (which includes access to their outdoor and indoor gun ranges), so I can now take my legal firearms to the range and safely destroy orange bullseyes. Whee!

Causal, I can just picture the swooshing. Sounds fun.
I got something indirectly FF-related: I got (well, we got, the whole family shared a present) a Samsung LCD flat-screen TV to watch Serenity on. First thing we did was watch the space battle scene on it. I saw stuff I had never noticed before, even in the theater!

I got the 3 disc Monty Python and the Holy Grail DVD, a set of wire less headphones that don't work, socks, a $50 check from the grand parents, and a stocking full of junk food. Gave my mom The Worst Person In The World by Kieth Olbermann, and an engine tune up and new brakes on her car.

How many Jaynes does it take to change a light bulb?
Two. One to try to put it in and another to find a bigger hammer.

Buddha was overly generous, but he left it up to me to find that 'special' present. Waited 'til after the Winter Solstice holiday to take advantage of year end sales. 46" of High Def goodness!
Whatta bargin!
People love a happy ending. So every episode, I will explain once again that I don't like people. And then Mal will shoot someone. Someone we like. And their puppy. - Joss
