I behave similarly.
I just don't like bothering people. Being burdensome. So I go into hiding. A lot.

Sorry NV, being male myself I don't think I can help on this one. Though I like the Alpha Female theory.

I think nighttime is dark so you can imagine your fears with less distraction.

Hmmmmm... I don't recall being guilty of this conduct, but I can't say it's a completely foreign notion.

Were it me, I'd say my reasons were this:

I get along better with guys. I have more guy friends than chick friends. Once a non-friend girl is introduced into the mix, I note a tendency for the guys to ignore the friends (both male and female) in pursuit of the non-friend girl (henceforth known as NFG). That's something that happens on both sides of the gender coin, true enough. But chicks, I think, are better at throwing the "no interference" flag at the other NFG in attempt to preserve their friendships. Guys, not so much. Once the NFG is established as just a chick friend, I imagine the flirting and territory-marking would stop.

(Does that make sense at all? I got about 4 hours' sleep...)

Edit: OR, she could just be a silly bint behaving the way Mavourneen described.

I've had this happen alot. But oh lord, if I'm to step in and say something...
Lets just say I've gotten it with both barrels, point blank. Of course I've heard apologies a year or so later, but thats neither here nor there.
Thanks to those who read my log. I rarely log anything here. I'm considering combining my logs and blogs. Makes for an easier post. COPY, PASTE. COPY, PASTE.
Back from the sidetrack, the worst case of this was a few years back. My bestest friend Mindy was havin' a hard time with her now ex husband and started drinking on New Years Eve. Long story short, I ended up taking her for a drive to sober up and she jumped on me. Had it been any other woman, it would have been on. But I maintained, praise Allah. That was a bad one.
It just really sucks how the actions of others dictate my dealings in the present. I have become callous and seemingly uncaring in alot of situations.
As for GND, I'm working with her. Even as a friend, she tells me and asks things in a more straightforward fashion. Of course, its taken me to tell her directly, "If you want or need something, ask for it. I don't have time for bullshit. No beating around the bush. Just cut the M F'er down and move ahead."

ADD: Makes perfect sense HK. I do see the same thing on both sides of the coin. But sadly, I'm lacking in the friend pool right now. Its okay though, less drama to be had.
Less drama is always a good friend to have around.

Way to cut through the psychological musings HK!

NV, if that don't answer your question, ain't nothin' gonna answer your question.

(Besides...the word bint is used way too little around here!)

HUGS amd much love NV my poor darlin you've been really ill used recently haven't you HUGS. I still want to know how in the smack you ended up in a town so filled with obviously near sighted and brain damaged women. There you are an amazing, funny, smart, kind, thoughtful, decent, terrific guy and they walk right past ...I seriously cannot figure out what in the fucking hell is wrong with those women. And I maintain my readiness to beat them senseless, shave them bald, and dump them( after smearing them with a variety of sticky substances) on the nearest fire ant hill!

Anyway, hi all. Sorry I missed yesterday I was on Wyatt duty all day. WE played, met Nana for lunch, went shopping and went to the main library wich has man made caves , fortress of solitude, and a pirates cavern to play in. We had a blast. Then this morning I went and got my nails done and ran errands...So back now and hugs to all

EDIT- oh and NV part of the jumping you thing may just be the fact that you are SERIOUSLY HOT!! and sometimes we just can't help ourselves.

Missed ya MSG. I might like to check out that library. The Nevada state museum has an underground mine exhibit fashioned, well, like a mine. I spent tons of time as a kid exploring the entire museum. Who knew that someday some of my work might end up there.

As for the women, they just got too much to choose from. Kinda like the men in Austrailia. Plenty of fun to be had, but substance seems to be lacking most of the time. Guess I just need to wander a bit and keep hope alive.

More to add in a minute on She Who Shall Not Be Named.

Hi Mircea that suck that you can't come to D*C HUGS

NV- ok see total weirdos. Right now it would take me the fingers of both hands and many more to count all the women I know who'd be lining up to get a chance at a guy like you. Yeah the library rocks here's a pic of the outside

one part of the interior

Thr childrens area is in the basement and they've created caves areas in ther side walls which have the ice fortress, pirate cavern, etc. Plus they've a puppett theater and computer area and tons of little nooks for reading most with mini child sized sofas and such. It's really amazing.

My dear imponderables...oh how I've missed you. It makes me sad that when I go to post I actually have to log in because I've been away for so long. :frap:

Christmas was nice, but I'm sitting on a very bruised arse from where my ponio decided to dump me. Dumbass. Twasn't necessarily his fault, but he's a dumbass, nonetheless. Bruise is pretty cool though. I wish I could take a picture of it without it revealing that it is, in fact, my bum. It was seriously black...Not black and blue, just black...for DAYS. Finally after almost a week it is turning shades of purple.

Hope everyone has whatever type of New Year's they want...quiet, drunken, whatever. Do it the way you like it.
