Well, not a problem, Roon...there will be plenty of opportunities to march with us or meet up with us at other Shindigs. We look forward to meeting you.
As far as advancing in rank, everyone basically starts out as a Private. To advance is a matter of time and what you can bring to the 76th overall in terms of skills, "products", etc. BabyWithThePower is the one in command that deals with the ranking, so he may be the best to answer this question.

We are currently basing rank strictly on a contribution basis. There will be some exceptions (which Tristan and I have discussed) but basically you'll stay a Private until such a time that you've made a contribution. I've also got some other ideas that I have to flesh out first on the back burner as well.
