Hey McQ! Are you any good at detangling these little hook things? They always get in such a mess and I spend forever just pulling them apart before I can hang any ornaments. Drives me crazy!
Wanna give it a try?

"Sure, let me give it a try," McQ responds and scans the tangled hooks with his robotic eye to figure out how to untangle them. Seeing the simplicity of the task he smiles slightly. "This should be no problem at all," he states and proceeds with his 'assignment'.

All OOC:
Wisp, I think that there are some problems with your idea.
First, the quote you cited came from Ouroboros the Green (the snake guy), not Magnus the Gold. As is his way, Ouroboros was looking after his own interests and attempting to switch sides. Magnus is loyal to the Empress and would not consider betraying her. So, you should be suggesting going after Ouroboros, not Magnus.
Second, Krysta the White earlier offered to turn Wisp into an Immortal if he let her out of the Wards Major. Perhaps more than one Immortal knows the secret of making Immortals. Of course, she could have been lying to Wisp.
Third, you are assuming that a wizard’s death means all of his magic goes away, as if he were constantly maintaining every spell he ever cast. If my wounded leg were magically healed, would the wounds re-appear if the wizard died? I don’t think it works this way.
Fourth, if it WAS true that killing one Immortal would doom the rest, then certainly Empress Arinda the Violet would keep that one Immortal safe (and probably locked up) in the Immortal’s castle, and not allow him to walk around the countryside.

OOC: Until you guys work out a coherent plan SR is going to continue his hack and slash ballet on the battlements. Now if some one were to say, hypothetically, drop ship one of SR's ballistaes and some of his experimental missles into the keep, we might have a really good chance against the "special project" thingy flying about.
Right now we're pretty much farcked because we have made a rock so big we can't lift it and it's crushing us.

Well, I think Our Heroes are doing pretty well. Let us make a list of all nine known Immortals:
Karg the Bloody (red): Impaled by a greatsword, which then melted inside him.
Ouroboros the Infinite (green): Frozen solid by Krysta, then had a tower dropped on him.
Krysta the Whisperer (white): Squashed by the falling petrified Sir Devan, then had a tower dropped on her. Oh, and her mind is enslaved by the Luc-monster.
Magnus the Maker (gold): Stripped naked of all his magical devices, then impaled by the Luc-monster.
Zorander the Storm Caller (blue): Electrocuted to a cinder.
Adelle the Burner (orange): Free, in the Castle of Immortals.
Arinda of the Silver Eyes (violet): Free, in the Castle of the Immortals, watching.
Alatariel the Lurker (black): Free, on a mission to recover her fellow Immortals.
Jazaf the Metal Beast (grey): He’s on your side.
So, while all of the Immortals will likely recover, they are out of action NOW, leaving the army of orcs, trolls, and goblins leaderless.
Also… well, I’ll just make a post.
EDIT: Oh, and neither the Great Project nor the Luc-monster are Immortal. Their hides might be thicker, but they will probably stay dead.

Sir Morgana looked about, assessing the situation. Elaine was at her side. Fesai was dead. Devan and Wil were missing, perhaps lost in the collapsing towers. Kei and Jazaf were across the battlefield in the thick of the fighting. Luc was… Well, Luc was transformed into some monstrous creature, about to face the Great Project of the Immortals in single combat.
Morgana concentrated all her will upon the task at hand. She and Elaine would have to be sufficient. “Infuse Ward!” she intoned. “Infuse Ward!”
“Infuse Ward,” Elaine echoed. “Infuse Ward” One by one the small globes lit with internal light and began to float.
“Invoke Wards Major!” Morgana gasped.
The ward globes swooped in on the squirming and growling form of Karg the Bloody, still incapacitated from the greatsword that had melted inside him. But it was no use, he was held securely.
Morgana took another swig of the invigorating potion, and passed it to Elaine. “That’s Zorander and Karg. Let’s get Magnus next.” Even after the potion had done its work, she was still gasping for breath. Blood was coming from her nose and several locks of her hair had gone white from the strain.
Elaine drank deeply of the potion, and nodded. Meanwhile, the soldiers following the pair of female Knights gathered up the massive body of Karg and put it on the wagon next to Zorander.
--------------
Meanwhile, with the loss of their Immortal leaders, the army of orcs, trolls, and goblins seemed to waver. However, they kept throwing themselves against the brave line (which included Deuce, Scorpion Regent, Wisp, and Jazaf). Then the Great Project reached the center of the battlefield. Caught between the dogged resistance of the Order and the terrible creature that started slaying them indiscriminately from behind, the army of the Immortals broke. The monsters fled in all directions, and were easily slaughtered from behind as they ran.
After eating its way through many of its own misshapen cousins, the Great Project burninated its way to the Luc-monster. It howled as it attacked her.

OOC- Sorry it was just an idea to wrap up before crimbo got lost in the confusion.
Wisp stood on the battlefield with Deuce and Jazaf and watched from afar as the two towering beasts collided.

While standing on the battlefield, Jazaf hears a whisper in his ear, though nobody is there. If they are near enough, Wisp or Deuce might hear it, too.
"Jazaf, I had to see you, even though it is against my orders. Tell me, why did you leave us, so many years ago?"
Jazaf and Wisp would certainly recognize the voice as that of Alatariel the Lurker (this is the first Immortal that Wisp met while chasing the techno-heretic, the one Sir Devan rescued him from).

The main horde having dissolved into cofusion SR looks about and realizes that there are people still trapped in the towers. He takes and lobs a stray stone such that it lands close to Jazaf getting the swordman's attention. Jazaf turns back to the wall to see SR waving his arms.
"To me! hero's to me! There are people still trapped in the towers. Come help! More lives to save! Help!" Yells SR.
OOC: Apologies- TRM and I posted almost simutaneously.

OOC: No problem, SR. It could have happened almost simultaneously.
Oh, and sorry Wisp. I'm not meaning to be difficult.

On a Zanzibarbarian beach:
TheRealMe bends down, holding Jadehand’s soul jar detector in front of him. “I think that’s it!”
Jake7 kneels and looks. “This Immortal hid her soul in that pebble?”
“Looks like.”
As soon as Jake7 reaches down and picks up the pebble, the device starts going crazy.
“Hey,” TheRealMe says, alarmed. “It looks like her soul just shot off in that direction.”
Startled, Jake7 drops the pebble.
TheRealMe is confused. “And now it’s back!”
“How can that be?”
“Not sure, Jake7, unless…”
TheRealMe looks at the pebble and at the sun, low on the horizon. “Hmmm…”
TheRealMe has Jake7 stand in a certain place and facing a certain direction. Then he has her hold the pebble in front of her. The soul jar detector points directly at Jake7. TheRealMe smiles as Jake7 gets uneasy.
“What is going on?” she asks, concern showing in her voice. Is the Immortal’s soul hidden inside me, now?”
“No, Jake7.” He points to the shadow on her belly. “Alatariel never hid her soul in the pebble. She hid it in the pebble’s shadow!”
