You keep doing it because you know that one day you will get what you want:) HUGS I would agree that that is what a man does and you are one hell of a man

CMH, good deal. And thank you. You have made me stop and think about several things in my own life, and see alternatives.
I am guilty of wanting sex. It's a pleasurable experience, and does draw people closer to one another. I have also learned that it can drive wedges between them, as well. Some of my more fulfilling relationships have been of the courtly-love type...words, gestures, and gifts that show love rather than the "C'mere, baby, let's do this" type. I am not saying that I have not had physical relationships that do not match this...just that they are different animals altogether. Not sure where I am going with this...I am in a general funk regarding relationships at the moment, but I am missing the physical part. I have re-acquainted myself with several old friends, but have no desire to go any further with them. Huh. I still have the feelings of lust, but no real desire to act on them.
I am glad you remain in disagreement. It makes for more interesting conversations and insights.
Whatever happens, CMH, you will always have a home here. Just be careful out there.
RIMG, I resent that remark! Yet, at the same time, how very, very true. Small anecdote to prove him right....
My ex wife's family hails from a town called Goodwater south of where I live now. Most of her kin still live there...small town, used to have a lot of industry, now kind of just there.
The family of my brother's wife, who are mostly in Georgia now, also come from Goodwater. We discovered this fact during a Thanksgiving feast a few years back. Turns out that some of my ex's kin knew some of my in-law's kin...there may have been cross-marriage way back in the line, we never got that far.
To add to that, one of my co-workers family ALSO hails from Goodwater...seems there are about a dozen major family names in that town, and they are quite prolific breeders.
It's a small world....

HUGS NV and hang in there sweety:)
CMH- yeah I'd like to echo Tristan's comments. You do always have a home here and remember 1- Ducking is good 2- avoiding getting shot is good 3- bombs and bomb disposal is BAD. 4- be very very careful!!!! 5- Don't make me have to fly over there and smack someone for shooting you ( 'cause then I'd have to smack them really hard)
Ok I'm out for the night. I've got to go tutor.

1. I missed you and do miss you coz I am not on here anywhere near as much as I would like! I felt the same way when I was 28, being single and caring so very much about people mattered a lot, I felt like I was facing 30 with no soul-mate, no prospect of becoming a mother (something I have wanted since I was 6 years old) and nobody who 'wanted me'... when I was in my 30s I imagined myself in love with a few losers just to capture the 'being wanted part' and when they really proved their loser qualities to me I was deeply hurt! Funnily enough now that I am looking at 40 I am so much more aware of who I am, so very glad that I didn't make the mistake of actually marrying any of the losers, and feeling like the future is rosier than ever... and though that window of 'motherhood' is a little smaller with every passing month (or so I have been told recently) I don't feel like it is the end of the world... I might be a terrific step-mother, adopt or even foster children who need a stable home environment, and I know I am a wonderful auntie and nanny & have some precious relationships with children in my life!
I guess what I am saying is, that I feel your pain - I do understand it, as I too am a person who cares deeply and has to act on it wherever I can! Friends, children and family matter more than anything else in this world to me - and I have learned that this is who I am and if hurting sometimes comes with that then that is part of my life experience... I would not change who I am for anything! I will learn new things, take on new interests, and maybet though experience adapt and adopt different views on life, but I remain a deeply loyal, caring and sensitive person at heart. Be true to yourself and in time you will find that loving yourself and enjoying your own company matter as much as anything else... then you will have to beat the women away with a stick... or get MsG & I to do the bappin' for you!!
Hi FMF
How are you? Thanks for the email - hope things are settling down for you!!
Hey - why don't we get Mavourneen to give up importing furniture and start importing/exporting Browncoat girls and boys for us all... ????
I'll sign up... though I see I have a big tag on me already... let's see... Oh, seems like I need to learn the words to that song properly then...
so - who else is coming to Dragon*Con??
Little Albatross
!! Hope Dylan is heaps better sweetheart! And as for transporters, or portals, wouldn't they be fun!!!!????
Jimi-bear!! RIMG
Thank you for sharing! You are one in a million! Hang in there and don't forget that we love you! I don't entirely agree with my little sis that you cannot love people on the internet, I have friends who I love very, very much right here!
Now... falling in love... that is a different subject altogether and 1 I don't have time for right now... sorry got to go!

MSG: I see your invisible pasttime kitties and lower you two BAD kitties.

Madga: Hi! *waves*
CMH: Congrats! I hope you stay safe though.
NVG: {{{{{NVG}}}} The only thing I can add to the wonderful advise already given is: No matter what, you have to live with you. Do what's right for yourself, that you can live with. And I agree with Magda, and am in a similar situation as her but with a few extra years: better no one than the wrong someone. The former is easier to change than the latter and much less nerve-wracking. *more hugs* I also wanna join the squad to smack the women out there silly. Are they blind?! Or just immensely stupid?
Tristan: Brother Tristan? Please don't. I have no idea how many rosaries I'd get for flirting with a monk.
Ah, the new imponderable...I likes it a bit cold at night and pile on the covers. I end up much less hot. Too hot and sleep just won't happen.
Hugs & Waves to the other folks.

MsG and Mav, I love the cat pics.
RIMG, you really should check out the invisible bike at your house.
James, I didn't know that you were the Official Imponderable Thread Killer. I'll post a *bump* to see if it can be revived.

I see no dead threads, merely sleeping ones.

If you find yourself getting too worked up about stuff that isn't real (RP Threads etc), then go outside, breathe in some fresh air and try feeding the ducks. (Because ducks don't care about your politics, religion, skin colour, choice of music or even your haircut. They like everyone, provided you bring them food.)
