NVG, well....damn. I understand how you feel, though. Have you thought about joining a monastery? They have quiet, ordered lives, free of the complications that are females (I love y'all, you know that). It's something I am considering for myself.
Just a thought.

I am sorry things are not going well. All I can say is that we are here for you, brudda. *big manly bear-hug*

Tristan, your post reminds me of when Buffy was getting over a bad break up and starting asking a nun she had rescued all sorts of questions about being a nun. And she tried on her wimple.

I just wanna be free of such issues. Maybe not free, just less confounded.

To tell the truth, I do get strange thoughts. Not completely suicidal, but not exactly fluffy bunnies and rainbows either.

Is the fear of life so defined that death seems to be the only option. Suicide is not an option and prolonging life is always the focus of everyday.

I just want to be someones everything. But it seems that is all but a passing dream.

LA - if only.....

NVG - I don't know you as well as some on here, but I have to echo Tristan's sentiment (not the bit about the monastary) - As I know from personal experience, Browncoats are the shiniest people in the 'verse, and both in the past and presently they have helped/are helping with life's little situations. If you ever need to just vent, or want a listening ear, feel free to let me know.

LA29, why not Brother Tristan? Could be interesting.

DTH, hmm. I guess I could try to enter a convent...hehehe.
Not really feeling that bad, just that sometimes I like to joke about situations I find myself in.

NV- what on earth is the problem with the women in your town?? Is there a some sort of pervasive psychological disorder? Are they mutated by radiation? Seriously there are some massively insane women in your town

I have to agree with MSG here, NVG. If there is not a woman that sees what a great person you are, it's time to start importing them...I would suggest starting with the ladies on this thread.

NV - The women in your town must be blind fools not to snatch you up.Don't let the searching drag you down, any woman would be so lucky to have you be her everything.

Tristan - Brother Tristan sounds good to the ear, but somehow I can't picture you swearing off women for good.

NV- I had to go back and reread your post to be sure...but she has a boyfriend, now. She's not married/engaged/living with someone. She's dating someone, and you yourself said not so seriously. Who's to say she actually doesn't want YOU to be her boyfriend? Maybe she's dating someone else because she didn't think you are interested.

Have you asked her? Not just hearsay, but talked with her about this?

You are not a Fall Guy. You are, however, talking yourself out of the chance to be with someone whom you genuinely care about.

Doing nice things for people shows you are a human being. Don't give that up, ever.

Big hug to you.

*Did anyone ever see the Irish movie where a bunch of guys in N Ireland advertise in the NY Times for women because the women of their village weren't interested in them?
