Wow, I forget about this place most days. Pop in, check mphilips new art, mosey out.
I'll always remember this place, though. Never would have met Needle without it. And that'd be a damn shame, it would.

You're right to a point Traveler. The wheel keeps turning. People come and go. Some stay, some move on. Here's hoping they always remain browncoats, no matter where they go.

I got on board just as the movie was coming into being, December 2004, so I guess I'm part of the third wave (the first wave being those who saw the series first run, the second wave being those who got the DVD at launch) though I still feel quite old school in some ways.
I think it's reassuring that the fandom keeps changing - it shows there's more and more recruits coming along but it's always nice when old regulars drop in (sadly Zol's IP address was barred so that's why he hasn't been around).

Grey. Missed you, man. The TREE just hasn't been the same. Needle, too.

Thank you Karel.
I am still alive, just spend my time in distant meeting places now.

And, yeah, it's been WAY too long since I've been here. I accidentally added not one Log entry, but six! EEP!! I've already sent a message to Haken. I expect the floggings to commence shortly.

I remember getting the DVDs for Christmas 2003. SO happy was me, the 15 year old. But does that make me a second waver if i got them when they first came out or am i still a firstie since i watched the Train Job when it first aired etc.?
Anyhow, i remember coming onto the boards not quite from the very beginning, but i think i was led here from Slayage.com, a Buffy/Angel/all things Joss site that i think is now defunct. It was probably around the time that the show first aired, since i was, and still am, a huge Joss geek. I would have been about.....13. MAYBE 14 years old. I lurked for a little while, but i have been a member for a LONG time, and proud of it. Probably about 2, maybe 3 years a member.
Heck, i remember all those old days when ppl like TheGreyJedi and Succatash and BadgersHat were some of the most frequent posters (nice to hear from you again!). I havent heard from BadgersHat pretty much since the tragic event with his cat.
I think there were about 8 or 9 images in the Blue Sun Room when i first came. Seriously! There was one involving Shindig's swordfight, but with Mal vs. Dark Helmet. Funny how you remember these things.
Thanks to all of you in FFF.net, no matter how long a member, for being here during about 95% of my teenage years so far. And to those of you who may leave for a while due to various circumstances, just remember the words of a wise preacher: "We'll be here."
I'm babbling like a moonbrain.

Hello Browncoat1:
I notice some of our missing people are showing up. I guess you have to grab that wheel and give it a little push. People never forget their Browncoat roots. They made this a great site and we are lucky to have found it. And I believe that people who have moved on still have the Browncoat goodness with them.
I think this would be a good time to thank you guys for this verse. It is not easy to create something as wonderful as this. Do not think we newbies don't appriciate the warm carrying place you made here.
Traveler
