hi
first time posting on this webpage. but i do love all things firefly and its flim. first fell in love with it when it came out on dvd then rewatched them again when they were shown on the Uk sci fi channel.
and cant remeber how many times i have watched the flim when it first came out. Also done my best to make sure that every birthday xmass gift etc has either been firefly season 1 or serenty dvd lol... so have made many fall in love with it .

but with the not so great box office numbers(which is a crime i tell ya )is there still any hope for the world of firefly or are we just hanging on( ) to a dream that will never come.

when i first heard that they were making a flim on firefly i just couldnt belive it. i was realy hoping this was it this was the start of the rebirth of firefly. it was great the buzz etc....
but the money men have done their counting and i think i read some were even the great and almighty joss has said that there was no planned sequels..

i know the world of firefly will contune in other things such as books and comics but realy is there any hope in hell of there ever been more firefly be it on tv or cinema.

man dam fox network they realy dont know a great show when they see one.

man what browncoats would want to do to the man that took firefly off the air

If Steven Segal can keep making the same movie's that go straight to DVD then why can't firefly, which has a huge following, keep making films?

If Ben Afleck can still find work surely there's a good chance it isn't over

This weekend I was channel surfing, and on SciFi they aired "Carnosaur" followed by "Carnosaur 2".

I thought, they greenlight crap like Carn 1 and have the audacity to greenlight Carn 2.....and meanwhile we can't get ANY GORRAM FIREFLY???

There is simply no justice in the world. But, we can't give up hope. I think Joss will work some magic someday, somehow, in the meantime we have to continue to HOLD. That's why we have sites like this, to help each other out.

Still holdin', Capn :)

Joss actually said he was not secretly writing Serenity II. He won't keep it a secret. He said something like no sequel *NOW*...can't say NEVER.

Hollywood...can't say NEVER on anything.

The money men and women haven't stopped counting.

We got DVDs selling.
We got Serenity still playing in theaters--Box Office screenings and Charity screenings see http://www.cantstoptheserenity.com/ .
We got Official Universal Serenity merchandise selling. Ya want the list?
We got Nathan (Our Captain) Fillion on LOST, SLiTHER on DVD, new movie White Noise: The Light theater release January 5, 2007 UK USA.
We got Joss Whedon making a Wonder Woman movie.

The main actors are still under contract for another year for a sequel and after that it will only mean re-negotiating. They all want to do a Serenity sequel.

We got Big Darn Heroes popping up all over TV. More people see um...more people check out their work...which leads them to Firefly/Serenity.

And then don't forget...some of us play the lottery.

that last part reminds me of a quote:

"When your shot is exhausted, knock down the enemy with the stock of your rifle. If the rifle stock be broken, bite with your teeth."

It's like no matter how bad things look, Browncoats are still teetering on things like, "Hey, we could win the lottery!"

It's beautiful.

Well you certainly have a point about the Steven Segal movies. I hadn't thought about that. Wonder if he has a secret backer who likes to watch him kick ass and doesn't care about the bucks.

Just got off the phone with friends in Northern Cal (I'm in Midwest). Did my Firefly speel and am sending them the DVD series. Never ever say never.

"Did I go somewhere?"

How does the line go about when you can't crawl, you find someone to carry you.

Teetering...Serenity is going to tip someday!
See the book The Tipping Point.

17 million viewers saw Nathan Fillion on LOST.

Nathan now has a myspace page. SLiTHER Director James Gunn verifies that it is really Nathan. http://www.jamesgunn.com
