The cop's name is Matt Parkman. We haven't yet seen Sylar's face (the closest we've come is the guy Matt and FBI-girl were fighting, who she seemed to think was Sylar, but was only seen in silhouette).
As for Mr. Bennett, I'll crosspost what I just wrote on another forum:

Other powers we've seen at play include: super-strength (the guy that tried to bug Mohinder's apartment and kicked him across a room), telekinesis (used to pin that woman to the wall and impale her, and likely also the one who destroyed Mohinder's father's cab, and used by what was apparently Sylar himself to attack the FBI woman), and freezing (used on the murder victim Matt saw). We also know that Radioactive Man was either working for Sylar or in the process of being recruited.
Meanwhile, Bennett has "Jammer" (the mind-wipe guy), and his mole, who doesn't appear to have any powers of her own. Bennett obviously has resources, but aside from Jammer we haven't seen any confirmed mutants working with him. I'm guessing that he's either running a vigilante op or is part of a (government?) program aimed at cataloguing the mutants as either potential threats or potential weapons (maybe preparatory to a "Weapon X" style program, or mutant registration/concentration camps). . .
Here's a possibility: Mr. Bennett finds out about Sylar hunting down and killing mutants (and about the potential nuking of NY [from Isaac]), and organizes all the mutants he knows about to stop them (both from destroying NY and from hurting his daughter, for whom he seems to have a genuine fondness for). It comes down to a duel between Sylar's gang and Bennett's "X-Men" over Claire (in Claire's high school, where Sylar chases down Claire [and finally corners her in the gym] while his thugs take on the good guys [using telekinetics to attack Peter]).
Glasses is smart enough to realize that the normal authorities aren't remotely prepared to deal with mutants, so forming a group of mutant enforcers is the logical next-best thing. Having Matt (a cop) and Hiro (who, as noted, is well aware of the moral repurcussions of power) on the team would be a good form of insurance to keep the team on the right side.

Please help me out here. Maybe I missed something. I was under the impression by the end of the last episode that there was no connection between "Radioactive Guy" and Sylar. I thought they just mis-read the bizarre death and assumed it had something to do with Sylar just due to the bizarre nature of it. It does appear that Horn-Rimmed had investigated Radio guy in the past based on the mark he and Matt shared. Did I miss something else that linked him and Sylar?

I'll grant that I may have been missing something, but I thought it was the trail to Sylar (who we're reasonably confident is the one responsible for the brain-stealers) that ended up leading them to the nuked house. At the time I assumed that Sylar had said or done something that made Radioactive Man lose his temper (and with it control of his powers).
I may have internalized speculation from another board, that RM was either already in Sylar's pocket or would be by the time he nuked New York (the assumption that he'll be involved is just that, but not an entirely groundless possibility).

Has anyone read the latest Entertainment Weekly? There's some interesting info about the actors, as well as some possible theories about the characters. My favorite was that Nikki/Jennifer is actually Sylar. Not the most plausible idea, but interesting nonetheless.

I read that article too, and when I looked at some of the actors resumes on imdb.com, I was surprised to see that the gal who plays Claire on the show was the same gal that voiced Dot in A BUG'S LIFE. And I remember her from years ago when she had that really high, squeaky voice, and also from MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE when she was Jessica, the big haired gal that was always messing with Malcolm. I was floored to realize that she was playing the cheerleader.
As for the guy that was radioactive in last weeks ep, I think Radiation Dude is a more appropriate term for him instead of Radioactive Man, because he seems more dude than man, and since Radiation Dude is a knock-off of Radioactive Man, it would fit the character who I think is more of a one-off character instead of one of the Heroes.

Two theories after last night's episode:
1) Radioactive Man (or whatever we want to call him) is the source of the nuclear like explosion we see in NYC. How better to sneak in a nuclear device than to have it contained inside a person. He has told Matt & the FBI lady a couple of times that shooting him would not be a good idea. What if something like a bullet penetrating him when he is putting off radioactivity caused some sort of explosion similar to that of a nuclear warhead? Could be that Radioactive Man is the cause of the explosion. Could he be on his way to NYC now since he "escaped" the feds?
2) Sylar is stealing the brains of heroes or potential heroes to give them to some sort of secret cabal for study. Radioactive Man and Matt both spoke of "blacking out" or "losing" days from their life. Could it be that Claire's dad & the Haitian telepath are removing mental blocks that prevent hero potentials from using their powers? Perhaps Claire's dad wants people with powers to counter Sylar and his group to protect his daughter.
Thoughts?

Those are valid theories, especially the first one. Radioactive Man, or Bomb man* (we could devote a whole thread to nicknaming these guys), certainly seems to have the potential to do some damage, I’m just not sure he has the power to wipe out New York.
Claire’s dad is a little more puzzling to me. I did miss the episode two weeks ago that may have shown his true intentions. I’m not sure he’s on the up & up. Didn’t he tell the Haitian to “clean them out”…? (Referring to some of the captured heroes)…
Next week’s ep seems to have a few answers.
All in all, I’ve got say that it’s good to know that there are still some moderately creative minds working in the industry. The garbage still far outweighs the entertaining on the boob tube.
*RA Man or Bomb guy – I don’t know this actors name, but isn’t he one of the Cavemen from the Geico (?) commercials? Those guys are great and it seems like a good idea for a tv show – cavemen in 2006 – sounds funny, although my wife continues to claim that there are plenty of Neanderthals alive and well today as it is.

I repeat my theory that Claire's dad was just "tag-and-releasing" the mutants (I'm guessing that Jammer's job was to wipe their memories so they wouldn't remember being taken --and thus wouldn't try to track him down). The news a couple of weeks ago about "the cheerleader" being in danger seem to have precipitated his current actions. You'll note that he hadn't really made a move until getting that message. As soon as he received it, he made the call to bring in Isaac.
His knowledge of Sylar is intriguing. Maybe Sylar's former member of his team (I feel safe in speculating that Eden has powers as well; she seems able to implant suggestions --which explains why Mohinder was so trusting).
I'm genuinely worried for Hiro now. I can't help but think that the next time we see him he'll be deeply changed. Plus I don't see how he's gonna save the waitress; it would invalidate the entire timeline (even though I kinda hope he does, they make a cute couple). It looks like he went back too far, maybe on purpose. I'm hoping they don't pull a "Witchblade" and use the second season to "re-tell" the first season in another timeline (it was a cool idea, but it sidelines any future developments until the next season --plus then we'd end up with a "Crisis" 
).
I know Hiro will be back in some form, though; the banner Claire's working on appears in one of Isaac's paintings; bloodstained, with Hiro and Ando standing in front of it.
I'm curious how Mohinder's dream-walking friend is gonna fit in. On another forum, people are speculating that the kid is actually Mohinder's sister (or the ghost of her, in his mind), but then why would Chandra have "him" filed under a different name? Is he the Patient Zero? We know Glasses has been dealing with mutants for at least 15 years, so that pushes Zero back at least that far.
It's also interesting that Chandra was killed by hand (instead of by telekinesis) --it doesn't fit Sylar's M.O. We've seen (in the comic) the wreckage of Chandra's cab, and we can tell that a telekinetic (or someone with super strength) ripped it open). Speaking of super strength, snapping someone's neck like that isn't easy, the leverage was all wrong, and human necks are designed not to be snapped in the first place.
How's this: Strong Man killed Chandra, then tried to bug Mohinder's apartment (in the first episode), and is apparently working for. . . I had assumed Sylar (as is freezing guy), but Sylar doesn't seem the type to resort to bugging. Could he have been one of Mr. Bennett's, who got caught, provoking Eden to step in and improvise?

Ah, someone else who thinks Sprague ("Radioactive Man") is the Geico caveman. I noticed the resemblance myself.
The actor's name is Matthew John Armstrong, but neither Wikipedia nor IMDB clarify if he's the neanderthal in question.
On another subject, I've noticed a few people on this thread debating what to call the super-powered individuals, with "mutant" and "metahuman" being the front-runners. Those terms, however, are closely tied up with pre-existing fictional universes -- as are all of the following:
Abberant
Paranormal
Science Hero/Science Villian
Special
Super
Super Freak
Ultra
Wild Card
Wild Talent
--along with others too numerous to list.
I'd like to suggest that the proper term is the most obvious: Hero, plural Heroes.
The classical meaning of the word, from Greco-Roman mythology, does not specify a "good guy"; it means "one whose ancestry is part God", (especially if they exhibit special powers or attributes). This strikes me as a fine metaphor for the genetically-enhanced individuals on the show.
Note also that the show itself, in its promos and voice overs, tends towards this usage. (Sprague is referred to as a "new hero", although his use of his powers so far has been less than "heroic" in the modern sense.)
Thus we have Heroes of all stripes; "Heroic" heroes like Hiro Nakamura, "Villanous" heroes like Sylar, and characters like Nathan Petrelli who don't exactly fit into either category.
