I am glad that you were able to get past your self-consciousness about your hair PR, because those pics are definitely worth seeing. I can see what you mean about it not being the same as previously, but I for one think that you make it look good.

ok, riffling through all the collected stuff in my room, (you know how it is, you go in to sort and chuck out and end up three hours later wearing three different shades of lipstick and giggling like a maniac at photo's of yourself in collage?) I found these, I thought it might make phoenixRose feel better about her hair.
Ok, pissed at two am the morning i moved down to college, yes, i did ask the hairdresser for that cut
but never fear, it started to grow back (one year later) (i'm the one in the peach monstrosity)
and back (last year of college, budgets no longer ran to hair dye)
Of course by that time i'd got sick of how long it was and had started wearing it back all the time.
And these one made me giggle -
Helen as a wee bairn, in the sexiest dress she's ever owned -
and why motherhood is really not an option
(I did that the entire time she was in my arms - its my cousin Elizabeth by the way - and didn't sit down again the rest of the day through fear that they'd make me hold her again.)
And just check the soft furnishings.
Joy.
Isn't sanity really a one trick pony, anyway? I mean all you get is one trick, rational thinking! But when you're good and crazy...ooh hoo hoo hoo... the skys the limit!

oh, and then theres this one - no, i don't know what i was doing, but god look at those curtains!
and then do you remember me saying something about peach monstrosities?
I swear, when I was a kid I loved them.
We both did, i'm the shorter one by the way.
LOVED them.
can't speak, laughing to hard.
you can just imagine the caption, can't you?
"So, er, Nicky, tell me again, how exactly do you know when you've been Tango'ed?"
Priceless.

Hey, I just came across an old disk I have of me doing REALLY stupid things when I was 13-14 years old! Wanna see!?
Me jumping from a ladder
[IMG]
Me back flipping onto someone who isn't there anymore
[IMG]
Me jump kicking a friend in the back
[IMG]
Me doing a back bridge
[IMG]
Me fighting Batman
[IMG]
Me body slamming a large friend
[IMG]
Me posing... so much potential at 13 years old, all gone to waste :(
If anyone subscribes to the "Live fast, die young" philosophy, make sure you actually die young. Growing old with injuries is painful.

Place my body on a ship and burn it on the sea,
Let my spirit rise, Valkiries carry me.
Take me to Valhalla where my brothers wait for me.
Fires burn into the sky, my spirit will never die.

Sorry to keep posting folks, but seeing as how we're now posting old pics of ourselves, I went and found a picture of me a couple of years back in college (don't ask me why I'm holding a pipe, I was probably trying to be cool or something):
Man I'm glad I ain't fat anymore. Well, not AS fat, anyway. Oh, and feel free to laugh, I am!

Yay! Yet another face to add to my mental scrapbook (and my virtual one if I ever get around to making one). Having a shiny face to remember y'all by makes this all the more personal. Thanks!
EDIT: Finally finished reading the thread. I reiterate my previous statement. What a GRAND looking bunch!! We are positively frightening in our Shininess!!
MrSellars, a quick tip of the hat to you. I've only spoken to a handful of people with connections to the Big Easy (one being a distraught mother trying to make sure her boy's education would survive the storm, while at the same time waiting to hear the latest update from the father who was still down there in the immeidiate aftermath), and only one who made the trek down there to help. A hearty thank you to you from one and all of us here ('ceptin' prolly a troll or two but
them).
"Well, here I am...Does that seem right to you?"

I don't have a scanner. For that and various reasons, y'all do not get to see me as a dorky child wearing big plastic glasses and braces.
I mean...!
Aw
now it's too late to say I was just an adorable little girl with great fashion sense...
